Nokia N95 8GB is the best mobile as compared to all. Its battery life is very long. It's better than Nokia N96, just it has one difference i.e. 16GB memory. But overall nokia N95 8GB is the best.................
Anonymous, 03 Oct 2008n78 is better than this! n95 8gb is like n81. they can break into halves anytime! N78 better than N95-8GB!!? LMAO!! Biggest load of rubbish ive ever heard! I suggest you N78 Fanboys take that poor, pointless WANA-BE all in one toy and throw it away, rather get a N81 or N85, those are the true Multimedia devices, N78 is a poor man's N82 lol!
I this phone had a qwerty keyboard it would be much better
The battery life really sucks.. I have to recharge it every day and with any kind of continous usage (calls, internet, games, mp3) this phone died in 3 hours. Other than the battery the features n everything else rocks. But since it died on me so quickly I can't even make phone calls when I need to..

Yoh smart phones !!!!!soooooooo much passabilities yet realy hard 2 use tham all effectively....i realy pore my gretitude 2 the programers of thees smart Gedgits....Much love !!!!!
I'm really getting an unreliable connection over wi fi just lately. Really frustrating cos I never had this trouble on my e61i.
It drops about every 5 minutes or so. Has anyone else had this? I tried the advice in the previous post, but no joy.
First lets deal with "WiFi Connection problems"
Scroll down to highlight the new access point and choose 'Edit' from the 'Options' menu. Now choose 'Advanced settings' from the 'Options' menu.
Assuming you network used IPv4, which most do in my experience, select 'IPv4 settings'. I don't know about IPv6, and don't use a proxy so these are not covered.
The values you enter in 'IPv4 settings', depend upon your network/router settings, and whether you have a DHCP server or not.
Assume your a router IP Address, on the LAN side, is 192.168.0.1, and that it has a DHCP server set to serve addresses in the range 192.168.0.64 to 192.168.0.192, using subnet 255,255,255,0. Since the mobile does not seem able to get an IP Address from the DHCP server we give it a static address 192.168.0.55. Notice this is outside the range sereved by te DHCP server to avoid conflicts.
We end up with:
'Phone IP address = '192.168.0.55'
'Subnet mask' = '255,255,255,0'
'Default gateway' = '192.168.0.1'
'DNS address' = 'user defined'
'Primary DNS address' = '192.168.0.1'
'Secondary DNS address' = '0.0.0.0'
I used something similar and was at last able to browse the web via wifi.
'Show WLAN availability' = 'Yes'
'Scan for networks' = 'Every 5 minutes'
Some users have suggested choosing 'Advanced Settings' from the 'Options' menu, changing 'Automatic configuration' to 'Disabled'
Personally i dont understand why they call these phones 'fat' or 'chunky' etc..i have medium hands and love holding mine. In fact i just love the handset full stop.
(except fot it lacking menu animations!!)
N95, 30 Sep 2008I bought an unlocke N95 8GB and tried to go online with it and it showed me a "NO GATEWAY REPL... moreHey! I get that problem, too, when I try to connect to a wireless net, however, not always ("No Gateway Reply").
Could anyone tell us why that occurs?
the nokia n95 8gb is much better then n95
bocoz it have 8 gb memory and i like it very much
this is my favorite set ever i use
Anonymous, 30 Sep 2008this phone is so fragile. looks like it will break anytime. The N95-8gb is a tank when compared to a cheap N78. The N78 would break more easily than this. N95-8gb is a well built machine.
burger, 30 Sep 2008I'm not sure why you do not have the icon animation. it should be in that list, right after "O... moreThanks, it's deffo not there, i'm thinking it's something '3' have disabled on their branded 95's..
blockey, 30 Sep 2008hey you.. it's so easy!!!!
just go to menu>options>icon animation> select (on)Hey you lol, it's not easy at all..There are no damn options on my phone for menu animations!!!! It's pissing me off!!
I'm now thinking it's 'cos '3' have dis-abled the feature with their own firmware or something, but thanks anyway.
Absolutely love the phone as I have used it for about 9 months.
When sending emails thru yahoo from my phone how can I have a copy of the sent email stored either to the phone or to my yahoo address??
