The 352*416 pixel resolution screen is still so pricey. How much more if its 480*640 pixels! So Nokia is sticking to the standard 240*320 pixels for the moment. It's oh so clear that the 2.8" screen dimension is only just another marketing strategy.

nET{ your list of tech specs proves that the CPU of the N95 8GB is the same as the original N95. All that has changed is the RAM and the internal memory. Incidentally I am not certain what Nokia mean by DUAL CPU. Surely they are not implying that the phone houses two CPUs running at 332MHz on the same IC??

Darksun; you state that the CPU is much better yet Nokia states it is the same dual CPU as seen in the original N95. Can you explain what exactly is better about the CPU in the 8GB N95?? Secondly, Nokia should have moved up to VGA res screens like I-mate, Toshiba and Eten have done. Tables and charts will be much clearer. 2.8 inches is too large for QVGA res.

this will be expensive from the time it will be release till the end of the year...it is a perfect gift for the coming holidays so the price will stay high...but for sure, price will get down by 20 - 30% within the 1st quarter of 2008... the original Nokia n95 was about PHP 50000 here in the philippines when it was launch...but it dropped to 30000...but this N95 8gb is really good and has a good competition with sony ericsson's upcoming W960 though it only had 3.2 mp camera...gud luck to both companies....:)

This rocks. It IS the best phone.Differences between Orig. n95 and ths one are so that everybody knows:
- 8GB internal Flash.
- Larger display (2.8", up from 2.6"), same resolution.
- MicroSD slot removed.
- 128MB RAM, up from 64MB.
- 1200mAh battery, up from 950mAh.
- Slider protecting camera lens removed to make room for the larger battery.
- Cosmetic changes to media and front-panel buttons.
-CPU far better.
-Slider problem fixed.
It will come out in october,q4,this year at 560 EURO without taxes. That means aproximatly 650-700 Euro.Hope my comment helped someone:D.
