Better be updating the 3G network on the specs page. 850/1900 due here around mid feb.
Haha you think it's cheap to manufacture ball bearing sliders? Don't forget it's a dual slide design, and more durable than what it was. :-)
Sorry mate it most probably not possible to do so, unless Nokia going to do something on it to enable it. And if it's possible, we can even use the LED as tourch haha.
Does anyone know how to use the falsh as a light during video recording?
@st_jorge and everyone,
Thanks for your inputs. I guess I am sticking to my N95-2 for a while. I still don't think the N82 is worth it considering how fast its price plummets and I've seen a lot of people complaining about the poor quality of the N82. I guess that explains why the N82 has become a lot cheaper since its launch.
I'm a fan of the SonyEricsson.. K800i etc etc.. but now i got a N95 8GB..
The best phone with all the features you can get now. Not the N95, the N95 8GB it's a lot better than the previous version, faster starting.. etc.
I need help. My nokia n95 8gb has stopped showing the maps when i try to enter thru maps on the menu.
Really nice, improved battery compared to previous N95 but still nowhere near as good as the SE batteries :(
Froze a couple of times so far, but generally good performance.
ive had it 6 weeks and had a few little hiccups which are typical symbian,no lens cover issues, batt is up to scratch, good screen everything, full to bits of goodies,
hi can you get youtube on this . And do you think i should go for this or the sony ericsson K850 thanks
Hellow. My name is Laura and I live in Slatina,a quite big city,in Romania.I talk english good and I think thease telephone is very very very good. It's soper.Scuse me if I make a erorr, but I speak english good,no very good.
I have had this phone since its lauch on the 3 network in the UK. What a phone! I have had no issues with it - ok it has crashed twice but actually reset itself without needing to have the battery removed etc. No lense cover has not been an issue yet, though I admit I would rather have one. To say its the worst phone ever is maybe understandable (if extreme) given the version one phone however this one is such a vast improvement. Touch screen aside, to compare this to an iphone is completely unfair on the pretty little apple phone.....
hey 8gb users i am in a bind, i have the 8gb(best phone i ever had) but i jumped the gun and bought the european version(wcdma 2100) and it wont work with us 3g freq, so if anyone is interested in purchasing an 8gb with all the software extra(rotate me beta1, nokmote beta 1, and 100 other apps on a data disk, contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org and yes it is unlocked, i only take paypal
Was almost the bestphone ever, but forthat quality i think it is intentional that NOKIA did not include a xenon flash, in order for us to buy their n82 *****
No problem mate. I left out the camera lens door on the N82 vs no cover on the N95 8GB. I don't have any problem with N95 8GB as I have screen protector on the 2 camera lens and the flash. But having the door is always better. So you make your decision. ;)
Must say id rather get this than N82, couldn't careless about Xenon flash. N95-8GB is pretty small (short) but thick, i don't understand why some people call it a brick, its a realy well sized phone for the features you get.
Buddy, The Nokia N95 8GB is mainly available on
contract over here in the UK for 18 months, is branded
on Vodafone UK network and some other networks but you
can pay about £20 pounds to get it debranded by
Vodafone when you are on contract.
But to buy one brand new, debranded already will cost
about £300 pounds at the moment which is expensive for
a mobile phone. I don't know what to do, whether to
get a contract on vodafone and then debrand it when am
on contract or to save enough money to buy it without
contract when the price drops later!!!
What do you say buddy???
There you go mate! "ibnR" just said everything well! To mention again, No PEN key! I just couldn't live without this button copy/cut/paste feature!
Thanks ibnR for bringing up this attention!
Ditch your N95 8GB only if you absolutely cannot live without xenon flash and you hate sliders (since you are ok with storage so I don't want to mention it again). Other than that it's all compromises - smaller screen, smaller keypads, softer speakers, little less battery juice, no music keys, no PEN key.
Opera mini worked like this:
Key in the URL -> Opera server capture the webpage -> resize webpage -> send to your phone. In other words, using opera mini you're not going to browse the original webpage anymore, but good thing is it's optimized for mobile devices.
I prefer nokia web browser, excellent.
