I am currently using the n95 but i have just fallen in love n95 8gb, must say this is a real beauty and the features are extreme & interseting.I would like to give 8/10 since i havent used it but will sooon!!
buddy, google maps is excellent, but it needs connect to the internet in order to explore the map. for nokia maps, i think what you say is not the map i though, because i use nokia map loader, is totally cost free. only the maps structure is not as good as google maps.
here you go:http://europe.nokia.com/A4509291
pal, did you try integrate GPS together with google maps? it is the coolest partner i ever heard....if you did, hope you share some of your experience. and, did you purchase a screen protector? some user mention the n95-2 did not include any of these....
Mate, Google Maps work great with my N95 8GB using WLAN connectivity...so fast! unlike nokia Maps it connects through GPRS...too slow at cost a lot! I can view my home town PAGSANJAN, LAGUNA PHILIPPINES!
@vip aka SOB
just tell me if you found the perfect phone that you suggest....
hi, any 1 used google maps in n95 8gb? if not, you can download from here:

Nokia N95 8GB is a very perfect phone, look at to the features ! it's very complete
Go for the KING Nokia N95 8GB http://www.gsmarena.com/compar...dPhone1=2088
* No camera lens protector
* No RDS system for the FM radio
* Below average GPS performance, no 3rd party apps support
* Extra charges for voice assisted navigation
* Cannot edit office documents
* No card slot
* Doesn't charge when connected to USB
i Guess a 1200MaH Li-ion battery will still not be sufficient for a phone that has 2.8" 16M colors display, and 330Mhz CPU. since SE P1 which even have 1100MaH Li-polymer and a lower 2.6 256K colors display and 200Mhz CPU lasts only a night after heavy usage. i'm afraid that even with the 100Mah addition to it's capacity the high system specs would rather kill the promise of better battery life from this phone imo. ;) it should have 1500mah :)
Just want to inform you that RotateMe v. 2.0 BETA 3 is now available. Some changes...pls see mssg below from the author/maker
- Fixed some non-working keys bug
- Implementation of the N95's API sensor (instead of 5500)
(don't forget to install N95AccelerometerPlugin.sis)
- Auto-rotation working also when the phone is slanted (and not only upright
- Auto-rotation at 90° (and no more 45°) like N82.
- Auto-rotation stopped when keypad is locked
- No more unwanted rotation when the phone is shaked
Some have reported a very strange and random bug: Sometimes USB connection
stop working, even if rotateMe is closed. You have to uninstall it to fix
This bug is reported on N95 8gb and in the new N95 firmware.
RotateMe is not the only one to cause this, fexplorer seems to do it also.
So I set rotateMe priority to normal by default but, in this beta, you can
change the priority in order to see if some bugs come from here.
But I'm sure that is a bug in the firmware causing a rotateMe
Coming in next beta (and I hope the last):
- Enable / disable auto start
- Enable / disable auto-rotation with a hotkey
- Setting to set the delay of the desactivation of autorotation
- A new user interface
- Writing the help context
PS: Sorry for my english, I tried to do my best.
N95 8GB comes with pre-installed Nokia Maps supporting 100 major countries!
Yes, N95 8GB comes with screen protector but don't depend too much on it! If I may suggest, use the INVISIBLE SHIELD. See this site http://www.shieldzone.com/form/index.html
I read every day all about Nokia N95 8gb. There are a lot of people who speak without sayin' anything, and others who really know a lot of things. I'am thinking to buy this phone, but I haven't made my mind yet. I have a question: has this phone a screen protector when you are buying it, just like N70?
Do you still remember your first Nokia mobilephone? Here is the site that you may find so interesting! Funny thing how Nokia started their manufacturing http://www.newlaunches.com/ent...timeline.php
for those who are saying this phone is heavy...well i must tell you that you must be a focking weaksauce !!!!!and for those who are saying that this phone is thick...well i must tell you that this is a smart phone unlike other phones it has a lot more of features so it cant be compared if the other phone dont have symbian os or if the other phone aint a smart phone; stop saying that its thick cuz it only makes you sound like an ignorant person!!!!!
