Nokia are very crafty! This upgrade to the N95 with bigger RAM, bigger screen and bigger battery notwithstanding the improvements to hardware and software gleaned from road testing the original N95 will result in a better device. Nokia are craftily not just aiming at new customers. They are enticing owners of the N95 to ditch it and buy the spanking new 8GB version. The crux will be the battery. I personally feel they should have placed a 1500mAh in it but perhaps 1200mAh may just be enough. The proof of the pudding is in the eating!!
good points on this set:
1.2.8 inch screen
5.little differece in camera, from old n95 as shown in pic.....
but still controversy on:
1.battery life,must some difference from old n95
2.price is still a great mystery
3.when it will be launched......
pls tell me its price, and when it will be launched....
No card slot? shame, shame, shame. When you finally see a must-have fone it comes with a awfull drawback. Increase de price, but, please, bring us everything !!! We are paying for it.
Hi everyone!! Noticed a couple of you complaining about the battery life....
Now a couple of things - your N95 works exactly like a computer!! If you don't actually exit the applications then they carry on running in the background and so the battery life runs down quickly!
Also, never put your phone on charge over night... only charge it when it actually needs it and its dead.
Ok? Not just making these things up. Worked for nokia retail for a while so just passing on my knowledge! I love my N95!! Oh, and if your handset is locked then there will be a lesser battery life. Even if you get the handset unlocked it still has the software on and so still runs the battery down (as well as voiding your warranty).
this phone seems to b gr8..
sumting which wil not get outdated for next 3yrs atleast...
only issue which is bothering me is the fact that it has NO LENS PROTECTOR...
i mean just imaging buyin a 2MP camera w/o a lend protector...NEVER..
this is 5MP..which can almost near professional camera..except the optical zoom factor..
imagine one scratch n screwed up..more over whn u change the outer body panel..the lens sadly would not b changed.. :(
i realy love the nokia products..but at times they compromise on small thing which matter the most..
still love nokia...n thx 4 makin such amazing computers..ohhh..phones ;)
Can I play the new n gage games like N81, using the play/pause FF and Rew buttons and landscape screen?
Great fone shame its soo slow that in an emergency u probably will never get to call the right emergency services.shame nokia why make so slow N-series fones.
I dont know about you but this phone stinks. There are so many better phones and for a hell of alot cheaper. The camera response is slow, and the user interface is the same old symbian / nokia menu. I'd give this phone less then a 1 if there was an option. This thing breaks easily as well. Save your money and get something better elsewhere.
I am waiting to buy when it comes to India.
there is no other choice.
Its seems me that it is very advanced and there is noother phone like this in Market, lets c what is best in market.
Even not prefer TS, If this phone add TS function, i think whole global newspaper headline will be "SE Fans pay to becoming Nokia fans".HAHAHA
i dont prefer touch screen, even its a good spec, but i saw my cousin O2 mini, sometimes he's using finger to operate his PDA, that act makes the screen sticking with many finger print, and the screen contain scar mark where he usually write chinese word as effected. If n95 have TS, i think the phone will remove numeric key, it will makes me think the n95 are same as others PDA, not special at all
N95 can functioning with blutooth keyboard, that's enough for me.
