I had this phone a week ago,im so disappointed coz always freezing now and then, dont buy this crap n96
same old software problems .. freezing crashing switching off between calls dropping calls ... nokia has lost it... stay away from N series guys..
working for the carphone warehouse we handle many different phones coming in for repair... the nokia n96 has had more returns with faults than we sell ... my vote goes to the iphone ... we haven't seen one faulty iphone apart from customers cracking there screens .

Probably the oldest trick in the book, can hardly be surprised!"
That will come with the "i" model...
i will cast my vote for n96:
design: 4/10, very dull bulky and wide!
features: 2/10, it could've been a great device if it was released 2 years ago. it is just basically a n95 plus 16gb & dvb-h, nothing more!
performance: 1/10, all other recent nseries phones have large battery capacity, naviwheel & fm transmitter, and n96 doesn't have those. it's the buggiest nseries phone ever! and it's also the most expensive. is there any other nseries phone that can be worse than this?
n96 is buggiest s60 phone to date! the naviwheel which was working on the n96 prototypes was taken out of the n96's hardware! it's confirmed. n96 commercial units don't have a naviwheel. this phone is such a waste of money! nokia didn't even care to put at least a decent battery for this phone yet it costs 900 dollars! this phone is a disaster!
This would have been a phone with the lot if it only had Infrared!!

very ugly... horrible....feichimosss. i cant believe it is maked by noki...puaj
Yeah I agree with you mate. There prices are too high. I mean come off it, who is going to pay £420 odd to for a Pay as you Go??
I used to be a big spender but the only person losing the money is me and the only people laughing are the people making money!!
OK sim-free it is quite pricey, but on contract you can get it for free at just 30 quid a month.
As for the camera, it is similar to the n95 and you can hardly say the picture quality in that is poor.
i hate nokia, their prices are very high and they quickly fall after u buy them! plus they have a very bad camera! bad battery life, i charge my phone daily! N96 is nothing special, there is much better mobiles especially in this v high price! like samsung INNOV.. omnia.. SE C905!!
I am absolutley devasted, annoyed, upset and furious that Nokia are making huge profits by simply upgrading a phone and making the phone already purchased "out-of-date".
This is very cunning, who agrees?
But I do admire the N96 though. I work in a mobile phone shop and the N96 is quite descent.
v week, 06 Nov 2008looks good but bad battery life and software made me take mine back! sorry nokia but you have ... moreWas that with the latest firmware?
