Anonymous, 05 Nov 2008yes , it canBecause i was curious that gsmarena spec. was listed supported upto 8GB... Does the sdhc count on classes like 2 /or/ 4?
Have you tried putting an 16GB SDHC Class#? in the N96? it works perfectly correct me in mind.
Just want to make the N96 like an ipod haha 32GB's total. (mass media + sd cards)
love it but battery is not good and it freezes probably 2 times per day,,,,,,,,,,,but i love it mint phone.i had the n95 8g and the old battery fits just about........sound phone v nice
Why is everyone so negative about it ?
N96 - Best all-round-device
curious that if this N96 can suppose 16GB SDHC? b/c i seen forums that it can suppose total of 32GB's Incld the mass hd and sdhc.. help??!
Its an N95 with an N81 case. Same crap screen, same crap OS, same crap user interface, same crap battery life, same crap camera. Double the price. Might as well get the N85 which has the same spec but double the battery life and an OLED screen. Nokia make no sense whatsoever, idiots.
Ashik, 05 Nov 2008It's a great sell phone!!!!!!!!!! All it really needs is an 8 megapixel camera and it'd be up with the best.
Anonymous, 04 Nov 2008Ericsson released the first Symbian phone, so they must be better than Nokia then. It's a great sell phone!!!!!!!!!!
Superb phone....I have read allot of the comments on here which have been negative, but i must say even tho the processor has been downgraded...it still runs as smooth as the n95, i have had both the N95 and N95 8gb and now going to the N96 seeing that it has 16gb of memory, all i can say is that its is handling much better than i expected. Camera is great so many features that i havent had a chance to try yet. I have had been testing it for a week now, and i have not experienced any freezing, or restarts. Plastic does seem cheap, but looks awesome once you see it in person. Battery lasted me 2 days with moderate usage. What can i say if you dont like it dont buy it,if you want it its your choice to go for it. I got it for $850 AUS. Overall id rate it a 9 out of 10. I really had doubts about this phone but now i can honestly say i love it.
Dj Kur (London), 05 Nov 2008Dude, honestly, it's a piece of sh*t. Obviously it depends what you wanna use it for. I reckon... moreI feel u dude.....if the N96's build quality.....is any like or better than the N81 then i myt buy it......but if its less i doubt il purchase it....
eish i wish i could get a N95-2 8GB with memory card slot......or mayb even expand the internal memory by puting a 16 GB...chip.....i dnt knw if thats possable....
i realy love the N95 8GB.....yet 8GB...is 2 little 4 me......
besides DVB-H TV is free here in South Africa....so its 1 + 4 the N96...
im just waiting 4 a hands on expirience....
Kenzo, 31 Oct 2008Wow dude was it that bad:o(...... eyi i feel ur great disapointment in the way u express ur w... moreDude, honestly, it's a piece of sh*t. Obviously it depends what you wanna use it for. I reckon the only thing it's got going for it is a good camera and video recording. Otherwise, it's slow, unreliable and you don't wanna spend 18 months of your life with it, if you're buying it on a contract here in the UK. Good luck with your choices but DO NOT get the N96. I don't work for anyone of Nokia's competitors, I swear to God. I do know my phones though. The N96 is sh*t.
right now im still using my n95 8gb, but definately i'll get this beast (i'll just wait till the price goes down the drain)...for me its the total package, 16gb, tv reception, videos (ipod in the palm of my hand), 5mp cam and of course expandable memory! (16gb mmc is on its way)
but to be honest with u guys, i hate what nokia did on the looks (hate n81)..easily get scartched..i know nokia could have done something better, such as 6500's steel casing.
NokiaLover, 04 Nov 2008Did u guys notice that this phone is in the BRITNEY SPEARS video clip "WOMANIZER" i wonder why... morepffff, watch carefull. Mrs Spears shows this 5800 X-press Music (i think), but not N96
don't buy so huge 2.8'' screen and only qvga!you'd better take somtehing different
Nanster, 04 Nov 2008Oh really now and which ericsson might that have been. I think u need to go check up on that again."Ericsson R380 (2000) was the first commercially available phone based on Symbian OS. As with the modern "FOMA" phones, this device was closed, and the user could not install new C++ applications. Unlike those, however, the R380 could not even run Java applications, and for this reason, some have questioned whether it can properly be termed a 'smartphone'."
Look it even has a touchscreen:-
Anonymous, 04 Nov 2008I have this phone for the past 3 weeks now. and i can tell you from experience, this is the wo... moresorry, but I do not agree with you.I also use this mobile and for sure will not return it. Charge your battery during the night and you will never face a problem. My mobile was hanging 1 time in 5 weeks, compared to my previous TYTN II a real success. Sound quality is great, by speaker and headphone. Really difficult to understand why you have so many problems. N96 is a fantastic mobile and indeed, if it was build with a little less plastic it should be better, but....nothing is perfect in life
