Nokia N96 - user opinions and reviews

Nokia

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2008-11-17 00:41 from Rnpfif you read the news correctly, you will find out that nokia only loss 1% of the market, samsung gain 1% while apple and rim got a big share from motorola and sony ericsson

and analyst predicted a rebound for nokia in the 4th quarter since anticipated phones like N96, N85, N79, E71 and 5800 was thrown in this quarter, it will bring a healthy boast in nokia that will be felt till the middle of 2009

the upcoming nokia event in feb will unveil new and cutting edge phone that will carry their phone sales mid 2009 til the last quarter 2009

samsung never predicted taking over nokia for the least 2020, apples target is only for smartphone market and they dont really have something cutting edge to offer as of the moment, so they cant grab the smartphone market either..so u will have to wait until then.. cheers!!

For Nokia not to be ready in the lead up to Christmas is a mistake, the same goes for the 5800, why is it taking so long to release?

Customers will only wait for so long before buying something else.

Emerging markets go for what people can afford, which are more the low end to mid-range phone's.

In the biggest market in the world (China) they just make their own.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2008-11-15 23:13 from P%nmin US nope but worldwide, yes it will catch up for sure, have u read d news that iPhone struggle to sell in emerging markets? their biggest selling point s US, lets wait for bold moves of Nokia to conquer US and they started by releasing 5800 and bringing N96, N85, E71 to them via AT&T and Best Buy, it will surely shake up the US mobile market

Considering this forum is more a hate forum as a technical forum, the value of the comments is almost zero. Samsung lovers try to let drop the quotation of Nokia, and Nokia lovers are doing the same to Samsung.
Some people even go so far to use many different IP addresses to vote as much as possible and make the score worthless.I have the N96 since a small 2 months and last week in Hongkong could play with the inov8.
Both are excellent phones, plenty of functionality and both suffer the same illness , Battery.
Which one to buy ? I bought Nokia because of the world wide service but follow your own feeling. Inov8 and N96 are almost perfect mobiles.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2008-11-15 23:13 from P%nmif you try to base it in US sales, iPhone sold more there than N96 but iPhone is facing also stip competition there with Blackeberry, if iPhone doesnt offer somethng different in US next year, they are expected to loose against RIM..

if u based it on worldwide sales N96 feared better than iPhone, have u read the news about how iPhone struggled in India? was iPhone succesful in Asia and emerging markets? here in the Philippines alone, globe telecom is having a hard time selling the phone no matter what gimmicks they do and smart telecom, the biggest telecom in the philippines is preparing a big event for n96, there only waiting for the national telecommunications commisions approval. that would boost N96's sales here

besides apple only promotes 1 phone compared to Nokia which has to promote hundreds of devices

Based On Your Comment, Nokia N95s Is Better. I Think The Lack Of The FM Transmitter Kill This Phone. And The Only NSeries That Is Well Commented, Not Complained Is The Nokia N79.
