I waited 6 months for this set, good one replaced with N-95 8GB, functions are almost same, but this is little cheap model where you compare this to N-95 craftmanship and every part fixed in it shounds cheap, so 1st time leaving Nokia and will go to Sony 905 or ?.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2008-11-15 01:38 from P%nmYes i agree it is ova priced in other countries.....
i think our pricing on contract is resonable...coz the N85 is a little more expensive than the N96....and the N96 costs R8616 on a 24month contract....(R209+R359x24+R8)
they rediced the price as compaired 2 wat nokia was asking 4...4 the N96
Yes the N96 myt crash when loading it with 10GB or more of data but so did The N95-1 when it had 2GB-4GB in it.....
As 4 the i8510 hehehehe people are complaining about its battery life it draines in less than a day and countless other problems...
The N96 just needs a firmware up date thats all then all then most if not all the buggs will be fixed.........
N85 is (R209+R459x24+R8)
ass u can see the N85 is more expensive than N96

> In reply to BATMAN @ 2008-11-15 06:50 from NHUDthe complaints of pipol regarding this so called N96 are just reasonable.
1.battery life - all recent nokia phones are equipped with large batteries. why is not n96?
2.super buggy software - n96 took at least 7 months from official announcement to official release and the firmware that comes with this phone is so buggy. what was nokia doing during that long period of time?
3.no naviwheel - this may not be a deal breaker for some but the n96 prototypes had naviwheel. so why on earth do n96 commercial units not have a naviwheel?
4.overpriced - this phone is overpriced considering its low quality materials and low build quality, and the very few improvements it has over its predecessor.

> In reply to BATMAN @ 2008-11-14 12:58 from NHUDthe is already slow, but it starts to get much slower once you fill its flash drive with 7gb data. if you continue on filling it with more data, it will crash. so even if n96 has 16gb internal memory, you won't be able to fill it with 16gb data because it will crash.

> In reply to Kenzo @ 2008-11-14 23:38 from p$KxThe thing is cutting back on the performance on the N96 then supplying it with 16GB of memory which pretty much stops working once you put more than 9 or 10 GB's on it was not such a good idea.
So people are paying a premium price for an experimental phone which Nokia push as a "flagship".

The N96 was set 2 be the N95 in the 1st place but they ran in2 some issuse with the production so they made the N95 as wee knw it....go2 symbianfreeks.com and u will fynd this article....hence i say the N96 is three years old.....'in concept'
i8510 has some problems of its own....
So did the N95 in its tym....wat Nokia is trying 2 do is maximize on hardware effeciency with minimal power usages....at the same tym having many features as possable....then they would hav mastard the art....
Coz wat the i8510 is now...is wat the N95 was in its tym....yet the N95 was more of an innovation than the i8510.....the i8510 is just pasing the same road the N95 did yet with a beater engine.

The best mobile phone software (symbian) combined with the best mobile hardware known for its superior quality... = samsung Innov8.........
