Nokia N96 - user opinions and reviews

Nokia

> In reply to iolo003 @ 2008-09-10 15:43 from PT}EOh my dear you would be bitting your nails to know that there are in fact many nokia lovers who has already swtched to Innov8. And you know why there is so much buzz about N96, coz people were expecting more. And Nokia terribly failed to deviler.

It could be your personal choice for sure as you are someone who wont buy anything else but nokia, but no matter what you say innov8 is NOT just about the 8mp cam.

Build quality & material-innov8 is better
Display- innov8 is better
Camera- Innov8 is miles ahead
Music-Innov8 is way ahead
Video-Innov8 is better again.
Features-Innov8 has more to offer

So ya it's your choice not everyones.

This phone should have released 6 months ago. Too much competition these days. And for the high price Nokia set for this baby? I will pass and purchase the Samsung i8510 innov8 with 8mp camera and better built quality. I hope Nokia's next multimedia mobile phone offering would be ground breaking like the N95 was, and not like a small upgrade like N96 with a 600 euro price tag.

The only reason I didnt buy N95/8gb is bcoz of its design. N96 is complete ph for me. You should not say there is not much difference between 95 and 96. The MOLD has totally changed. Like new car model with same spec as old model. I've preordered it and will arrive in 2 days time. So many ppl buying this ph without looking at price.

> In reply to Kal @ 2008-09-10 08:51 from vwdngreat that you recognize that its a matter of choice. and people in this post have their choice, its just that innov8 didnt matter to me, to us, as well as most of the people in the mobile world thats why innov8 is not making any buzz or noise like N96 does.

proof? you, coming here to bash haha
anyways ask everybody you meet if they are to choose between an 8MP camera or a TV with a vintage 5MP Carl Ziess on a mobile? I guess you know the answer already.

Good Luck c",

> In reply to viktor @ 2008-09-10 10:41 from 04UmDVB-H works only in Vietnam, Taiwan and South Korea. In the Philippines, it's on the testing ground. So if you don't live in Vietnam, South Korea and Taiwan, there's no point in getting this phone just for DVB-H alone.

..and now they are expecting to loose market share. Even in low-end market they are having tough time.

> In reply to Kangaroo @ 2008-09-10 05:59 from w9LhI don't think you have read it. When something Superior comes in the market people who are reviewing it, they will of course try and test that against the best in hand which was so far N95 8gb. And the end result is, Innov8 came out way better than N95, N95 8gb and N96.

> In reply to [deleted post]I'm talking about Innov8 and n-series. not all samsung in general. The word that samsung is using "low-grade material" is completely wrong. They use better matterial than Nokia. Few exceptions are ofcourse the 8800 series. It takes time of a brand to be called 'durable'. Nokia didn't reach to that point overnight.

If you argue that innov8 is only Superior in its image department then one might say the only thing that N96 has is DVH-TV support which is not a very popular feature to begin with. But again it's your personal choice. For the vast majority DVH-TV support doesn't make huge difference.

Agree with anonymous on the N85. will consider buying that too when launched. I bought N96 because of bigger screen, DVB-H support and it's looks and because it's a Nokia.

Can't agree on the Innov8, until Samsung pulls itself together on firmware and software supports. otherwise it will only be a regular 'high spec'phone, marginally better than C905 from SE o LG's 910.

I am a bit of a purist, for digital shot I have the Canon EOS1D Mk3, for portable music, I have the ipod touch 32GB. both of which is virtually unsurpassed in photography and music reproduction. And for mobile phones, I choose Nokia N and E series.
