I managed to get one on a short test. The phone would be great if it just wouldnt be that slow :/ i hope they fix this in the next firmwires.
The camera is good it makes equal quality to n82,the qwerty keyboard is also awesome,so is the music player and video player itself.
The browser could render the pages faster, but thats not that big of a issue.
The ts sensivity is poor compared to a lg arena or an iphone, but i think they will fix this.
It is a worthy phone to buy but i will whait a little bit to see if the new fws fix that problems, until im cool with my n95.
Cheers

You ask if it is worth it. Depends on price in your region. It is a great phone. I will admit the iPhone and Pre's OS touch interfaces are a lot more user friendly and geared towards the touchscreen comapred to the Symbian, but when it comes to specs there is no phone currently available that beats the N97.
Some have better cameras, some have faster HSDPA internet (where available), but look at the whole spec list and the N97 comes out tops currently. It is the great techie phone. It might not have the fastest CPU or the most RAM, but if you level out all the specs - storage/CPU/connectivity/camera/radio/bluetooth/WiFi/GPS etc - it is a technological first.

The US (and this is not a knock-the-US comment, please) has lagged behind Europe, the UAE and even some African countries when it comes to mobile data connectivity and speed. Video calls/Skype via one's mobile has become everyday the past 4-5 years here. We need these features and our mobile data networks offers this.

Anonymous, 15 Jun 2009One question - 5800 or N97????
The N97 doesn't come with a touch pen/pluck does it?
But ... moreThe N97 comes whit a stylis(pen) that you can hang off your phone or keychane.
The 5800 is a music phone and if thats what you want then get it. It certenly does alot of other stuff but its mainly a multimedia device.
The N97 on the other hand does everything. And its a pretty good multimedia device too whit 32GB of memory. But its twice as expencive then the 5800.
It totally depends on what you want to use it for but I went whit the N97.

The I Phone is a good phone for the states, but as far as overseas is concerned, it's not as good as Nokia. One of the main reasons is the camera, we do face to face video calls over here in the Middle East and the I Phone still doesn't have a video camera on the front for video calls. I have seen the N97 and it is Hot. The I Phone needs to stay in the states because it's not practical over here. Keep it moving Apple!
too expensive for an underpowered specs!!
i guess antiques are expensive!!LOL hahaha!!!!
beautiful sexy phone. Great features.
When is the N97 coming to Sub Sahara (Nigeria)? The Nokia Market is big here. We have been waiting for quite sometime now.
