The Nokia n97 is AMAZING...but they annouced it too early and so now other brands have come up with better features but I still love it. Just two questions. Does it support Multi-Touch ? and In the video reviews ive been watching, why is the phone so slow ? So long to load the menu and even auto-rotate.

It's true, we still have to wait for uncertain number of months for this phone because it took 9 months for X1 to be released after its announcement. In the meantime, X1 is the best phone on the planet.
48 GB, 3.5 inch screen, 5MP, watch DVD-videos quality
vs.
16.5 GB, 3 inch screen, 3MP, Windows Mobile 6.1
X1 users would definitely be jealous on that. Based from above, one can know what to buy according to one's needs. Since I really love movies and music, N97 is the one for me.
Nothing surprises me if a person replaces his/her X1 for a N97. X2 is still a questionable myth. So probably, it might be released late next year.

N97 is the definitive competitor to Samsung Omnia, what it didn't have is Windows and Office application matters for sleek and business-minded people. Nokia always win in user-friendly options and buttons but Omnia remains omnipotent until now. Expert and critics knows it..

It's basically like one day you go into a store and theres a new phone!

> In reply to Kyuubi @ 2009-02-12 00:16 from ji{R - click to readYou can unlock iPhones for free with certain networks in Australia I think... But 90% of phones here are locked to the network you purchase it from anyway and there is usually a fee to unlock them depending on the network you buy it from.
I think I might buy the N97 online if I do decide to get it, it will probably work out cheaper than buying it from a dealer over here. At the moment to buy the N96 from Vodafone it's $1149AU! Ugh I dread to think how much N97 will be.
Unless I wait for it to be free on a contract! Hmm...

that's why i rather have FREEDOM with my mobile instead of retarded restrictions from both provider and mobile company

I have no idea how much that is in $AU
But our dollar is so bad at the moment =( $1AU buys around $0.65US! That makes me sad panda! If and when it comes to Australia it won't be available for free on a contract, it will be like double the iPhones price! =(
