Nokia N97 just got updated, again. Well, firmware updates are always welcome even if there is nothing major on the list of changes. The only interesting news concerning the 21.0.045 firmware version is the improved kinetic scrolling, which should be smoother now.

As you already know, it's not long since the N97 got its highly anticipated system-wide kinetic scrolling. Unfortunately, it wasn't as smooth as expected.

Now, the firmware version 21.0.045 promises to fix this problem as well as some bits and pieces in the web browser and the music player. The new firmware should also improve call reliability and image and video stability.

To give it a try, just connect your N97 to a computer and start the Nokia Software Updater application. The new 21.0.045 firmware version isn't available over-the-air just yet.

And don't forget to share with us whether you're pleased with the improved kinetic scrolling.

i hope the next firware will improve an ability of rotation because i thought that the rotation of n97 is not so good, i mean if it is no black and rotate, it will be nice phone. For smoothing is not so good also.
