This comes as a bit of surprise to us but it seems Nokia is working on a Series 40 handset with 1GHz processor and a ClearBlack capacitive touchscreen Display. Yes, thatís exactly the reaction we had when we first read about it too.
Thatís not all, this phone will also have 512MB of RAM, QWERTY keypad, Wi-Fi, HSDPA and an application store to download apps from. This information comes courtesy Nokiaís Manager of Marketing in Argentina through his Twitter account.
Now we wonder why on earth would Nokia want to run its feature phones on a 1GHz processor and 512MB of RAM, especially when its Symbian smartphones come with much lesser hardware. Whatever it is, we hope we would get a glimpse of this device in a couple of days at Nokia Connection 2011 in Singapore.
