just a small but useful little bit of info for those that still think the screen is capacitive:

capacitive screens can only be used with your finger; no glove, no stylus, no nothing besides your finger(s).

seeing as it has handwriting recognition, unless you plan on writing with your finger it can't be capacitive.

nokia never said anything about a capacitive screen, and all of it's touchscreens have always used resistive screens, so unless proven otherwise you should assume it is resistive.

that being said, i'm open to any argument any of you might have to prove the screen is in fact capacitive.

seeing as capacitives don't work with a stylus, it might be a "hybrid", but that's highly unlikely.

For those asking about the type of the touchscreen (capacitive/resistive). I'm also interested. Would be nice if either you or GSMArena got a reliable source to prove whether it's resistive or capacitive.

The handwriting recognition doesn't mean that the screen must be resistive. From the pictures and the few videos on youtube (and the official "what's in the box") I see no stylus or even a slot for a stylus. And because the interface hasn't changed, I don't think Nokia just ditched the stylus for no reason. So a reason to suspect capacitive stuff here.

Fingers crossed, but please post some proof.

The phone is capacitive touch and supports handwriting recognition like Samsung i8910 Omnia HD (which is also capacitive)

But I think X6 is resistive. Official Nokia specs doesn't say "capacitive".

N-I-C-E. Styling is more SonyEricsson than Nokia so it's got me. Was looking at a 5800XM but this might be the go but for one questions - says hand writing recognition (like 5800) but where is the stylus?

They still can't get beyond this weedy little ARM 11 434 MHz processor, can they?

They just do not learn, you might as well talk to a brick wall than to Nokia's R&D department.
