Anonymous, 06 Apr 2011Sorry, but I don't want those ******* fixed focus cameras, I want autofocus and a macro mode. ... morei have c7 and just images up to 1ft are not clear but beyond that the c7 is much much better than nokia 5800 as my brother has 5800.
The X7 device will be announced tomorrow! I suppose that they will announce other models as well!
Ya... It's really fantastic with its model, functions and quad speakers.
Sorry, but I don't want those ******* fixed focus cameras, I want autofocus and a macro mode. Looks like I'll keep my 5800 forever until it falls apart.
Apart from that it looks very interesting, because it is the only "modern" symbian phone so far with decent built-in speaker_s_ (and not just a badly located mono speaker).
Anonymous, 04 Apr 2011I don't think symbian will die so quickly. Maybe it will take another ten or twenty years befo... moreI hope too that they will not die soon. About the N8's successor, it can't have Symbian, because Nokia said that they will NOT make any N series with Symbian. Would they change their mind? :) Maybe. WP7 can't support such a high quality camera yet, Meego is nowhere.
Mobilemaster, 03 Apr 2011I wish that too, because I don't want Symbian to die, because it's a very popular and very old OS.I don't think symbian will die so quickly. Maybe it will take another ten or twenty years before it's lifespan end. Remember what nokia said as long as people buy symbian phone it will stay and nokia will still make more symbian phones. Anyway better hardware symbian phone's are coming, heck even dual core. Let's just hope it's n8 successor. April 12 anyone????
Mobilemaster, 03 Apr 2011I wish that too, because I don't want Symbian to die, because it's a very popular and very old OS.Yeah... I got used to it
Kagami, 03 Apr 2011I wish they will restart that project.I wish that too, because I don't want Symbian to die, because it's a very popular and very old OS.
Mobilemaster, 31 Mar 2011Sorry, but there will be NO Symbian 4 any soon!I wish they will restart that project.
ivan633, 24 Mar 2011680MHz process, oh my god. nokia when time have 1GHz.Nokia dont need 1Ghz. You go try some Symbian ^3 phones and try if there is any lags.
wait till Nokia restarts it S^4 project. Then you will understand why is Symbian so much better and energy saving. Having fast CPU equals to more battery sapping and radiation, Nokia understands about the consumers health.
hmm, I'm patient enough to wait for this phone.
February 2011 - cancelled
23 March 2011 - no info...
When Nokia will release this phone, I'm fed up with Nokia X3-00, no Wifi, No 3G, No touchscreen, and Androids lack usage quality like Nokia's... :P
All those people who are saying that a 680MHz processor or 256MB RAM is not enough, simply dont know enough about Symbian.
Symbian is the most efficient OS out there. It does not need a 1GHz processor.
I am currently using C6-01(680MHz processor), and there is absolutely no lag, not even when I have 5 applications running in the background.
I agree with the positive comments about Symbian. People just can't understand how OS works - especially those pro-Android & pro-iOS. It doesn't mean that there're not good, but somehow there'll be disadvantage in certain way.
I like Symbian since its very first version, well, except S40. It's like a computer where you can access almost any part of the available spaces.
I'm currently using C7, it's my 18th phone now and even bought an N8 for my girl. She said it's rather complicated, but I told her it's better to use something like that, you'll learn more on the mobile technology. Any OS will be easy for you after exploring Symbian.
Symbian, BADA, iOS, Android, Windows, I used all of them. Oh, the Linux on old Motorola as well, still Symbian satisfied me.
