Remember that pretty substantial update that started going out to Nvidia's Shield Tablet K1 almost one month ago? Well, the good news is that it's finally on its way to the original Shield from 2014. With the 4.2 software version, the Nvidia Shield Tablet will get Google's Android security patches for June (yes, not the ones from this month yet unfortunately). Some new features are baked in too.
For example, the tablet now supports low latency audio, USB host mode, 24-bit@192kHz stereo and 7.1 HDMI output, and MIDI support over USB and Bluetooth LE. There's a new option to toggle navigation button location, and improvements to the Vulkan API, touch responsiveness, and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. Finally, do expect additional unnamed "overall stability and additional security improvements".
The update should already be rolling out over-the-air, but since this might be a staged release it could take a few days to reach all units out there.
exactly, even their 2014 intergrated SOC GPU's were better than 2015 sd 810 GPU
Sadly NVIDIA's chips are fading away. I like it better than SD or Exynos. Eagerly to see more products from YOU!
