According to O2 the phone resolution, Supports 262K colours (65,536 effective) whatever that means. It gets released here in Australia on Dec 18, but every time I check that date goes right. Check this site for the release dates in Asian countries. http://www.seemightyatom.com/index1.html

From all the pictures I have seen, Prophet looks same size as o2 mini, so will be bigger than the Atom. Also, having never bought an HTC product before I would be worried about after sales service- at least with an o2, any problems and you can go straight into an o2 shop to sort it- and not over the internet.

Prophet priced around US$600-US$650~ S$1022-S$1108
Atom is US$791~S$1348

Prophet: product of HTC.Uses interface same as 02 mini pro. With improved features like Mobile 5.0,2mp camera,wifi,SD/SDIO slot up tp 4gb.

Atom: product of Quanta. Uses interface same as o2 mini.ie 416mhz intel processor.
With improved features like Mobile 5.0,2mp camera with strobe flash, wifi,fm radio, mini SD slot up to 2gb.

Prophet is obviously much cheaper than Atom.

Thus depending on where is the area of focus.

If SD slots are impt considerations to you, prophet is a better choice with SD/SDIO slots and better pricing.

If FM radio, stereo speakers and Camera with flash is more impotant, choose Atom.

For the processor speed, it hard to compare as it is like comparing apple to orange. The only concern is whether a double core processor like texas 200mhz is able to perform functions like video streaming,SKEPE etc.Atom on the other hand,by using intel 416mhz had already proved its crediability.

Far better than the HTC Prophet-
Better CPU, FM Radio, external loud speakers, strobe flash. Cant wait to get one! Have been waiting to get a decent PocketPC, and was going to go for the KJam but decided to see what else was on the horizon. Glad I did- only thing is the keyboard, but there is a full screen keyboard software out there which will do! Cant wait!

Very Gud If you're upgrading from XDA Mini to XDA Atom Because of the included NEW features... Just that The Look of the Mini is Still Better And If O2 Mini is introduced in black wid featers like this it gonna rock

But Everything isnt Perfect in this World.

Please go to this page to see its rivals...HTC prophet.

Comparision:
Prophet comes with a larger screen, SD/SDIO card slot but without FM.

Two things I don't like:
1) No keypad/keyboard, use stylus look nerdy,
not convenience especially for my job.
2) Ugly/Bored Design - Look at Mio A701 compare to this.

Expandable Memory, Fast CPU, 2MP camera with flash, Windows 5.0, **WI-FI**... what is it missing?! if anything?! only think i can possibly think is 3G capabilities, but hey,... it's probably a good marketing ploy to get this sort of phone out now before 3G becomes all-and-all.

Kudos to O2, and i think this will be my upgrade from my mini.
