may you did not give proper care to your unit. I have been using my atom for almost 1 year and it's doing fine. I gave my atom to my cousin and still working fine. infact I bought a another atom unit..

and change whatever sound u want to change, but remember, the ringtone has to be copied to the windows folder to be able to appear there!

DON't DON't DON't buy O2 phone. These are faulty and defective manufacturing and not well tested. DON't get fooled by its design and features listed. This is the Phone that will KILL you. On top of that, the terrible customer service. I bought the phone by seeing the nice design and features. But kept on going to rude and unprofessional customer service center, changed the phone twice after long fighting, but all pieces are faulty.
It resets after battery down and removes all my contacts.
The speakers are soundless
Signal is weak
Hangs very often

I couldnt use it for more than a month and now suddenly the service center is charging me 500SGD saying there is no warranty because the phone went to water by checking some litmus paper color. What a shit !!!! After a long fighting, I just threw the phone and bought a simple Nokia phone and happy.

Hi,

I have been using this device for a month. So far so good. How could I change the ringtone for text messages received. The standard one is not so loud or not persistent. It is just a one note tone which often times I can't hear and I miss important messages. Could you please help me how to change the message tone to a more audible, funkier and louder tone. also thanks to windows if you, have oem based roms if your running lets say windows explorer the internet basically it doesn't shut down when you close it it runs in the background so you see the advertisement running on the side thier all that take memory and energy, lamen terms for the phone to run so now you have to buy other application to fully close those software or application you have open,,, life your at home computer things are out thier for a reason just to make money, viruses trojans don't get it wrong companys make some of these up then push thier software for sales and tell you they can stop them because they made them they started it...

anyway from hands on experience on the front line leave everything to doubt don't make quick judgements you know when your really being robbed 624mhz do you think they where really trying to rob u

well from my experience the battery life is due to the ROM.. change the ROM have better experience to the phone so the blame goes to windows as it should for me... if you don't want to result to a cook ROM 6.0 is a lot better on battery life then 5.0... also remember just like any unit everything is a factor you turn the volume up to loud, have the back light on at its brightness at all time and put the processor on at best performance or play the radio frequently thru out the day will cause a sustainable battery drainage, you can't expect them to account for everyone individual phone use everyone is different but in my opinion exclude the fact that its doesn't have 6.1 it better then my tynt ii on 3g much faster and better performance and less freeze tell me is their one person out their who has been on a computer and hasn't experience one freeze or stall or even abrupt shut downs, now if you have image all that in your computer put into a phone...

remember it cost them money to acquire window software to be placed with every phone then adjust as necessary without breaking the rules of windows and who ever they have contract with, that why we have these developer four ms open to the public to teach and also keep the developer up to date with every individual needs so take the time to view everything before you make lash judgements

the battery dont last longer. i have to recharge it many times. and it always stuck. !! how long should i recharge the battery? so that it can last longer?

this is one of the worst made phones i have ever seen. The battery is terrible, the audio is absolute garbage, the phone regularly freezez up and to make matters worse the feel and keypas are terrible.


DO YOURSELVES A FAVOR BUY A N95 it absolutely kills this phone this phone is real bad

See the post from 2008-09-02 11:07 only wma and wav format only can be use as message ringtone and yes it will continue the song until finish even if u ead message.
yup vtap is a program fro viewing youtube..

1) Can anyone have this phone try to put mp3(3to5mins song) as the message tone? Let me know when you read the message, is the tone stop ringing?
It's not the repeat function making this problem. I email o2 support, they said this phone support only wav format.

2) is Vtap the youtube viewer for pda phone?

I got this phone because it looked pretty nice and everything. When I got it I was satisfied then I found out something that I wished I didn't. Over here it says Standby Battery Time - 200 hrs and a Talk Time of 4 hrs. I say BS! Lets say in 4 hours of standby my battery goes down from 100% to at the most 69%! BATTERY SUCKS!

For stealth, it still beta.. you can't expect it to be as good as the official version

For the battery,i didn't know there is a problem so i can't help much.
Since there are alot of good application in the rom already,there are very few,how about using spb mobile shell and spb pocket plus.This would make your o2 nicer!!
About msn,i does not know cause i never use it.

I still keeping have a problem. when the battery level level goes below 40% the phone shuts off. do you know of a fix for the problem. otherwise from this problem the phone with the upgrade features are awesome.
do you know of any other upgrades for xda-developers i can use to enhance the phone further.
also, i notice with the upgrade pocket msn icon does not appear. is this ok? please let me know.
