I had it for one week and returned it! its too big kept crashing aswell! However, its an amazing piece of hardware but Im waiting for the P990 now!
i have had this set for four months now and to be very honest its not worth it!!i wud have definitely bought it for less than 400 GBP.lots of software problems.gets freezed at times so u have to soft reset it at times.and one thing which ifeel is dat although it has got a 52o mHZ processor, it doesnt support the programmes especially when u r running a few programmes together.but i still love my xda exec as i have speent a lot on it already.great style and fun to have, easy to use and impressive to hold.dats all it has got.
i have treo600 and ipaq hx4700- i've had an 02 xda exec for 2 months- great if you like windows mobile (i do). great if you don't mind the size and weight- it's a brick! (i don't mind!) easier to use if left opened and swivelled like a normal pda. can be fiddly to use as so many features and functions! heavy on the battery though! overall 8/10
hello ppl only a few days 2 go an i get it .but i went in 2 o2shop 2 day an they said mini s is much better help im very confused can tell diffrences and y they r better would b greatfull
Question: I find that my reminders sometimes does not trigger and more often when I am in West or South Africa on business. This maybe a MS issue and the samething happened with my xda IIi. Anyone have a reason and even better...a solution? Walter
Scott-I've had similar problems with the MMS settings. Phone o2 and insist on speaking to someone on the XDA helpline.
I think the problem i had was due to the new software upgrade disrupting the message settings if entered within one hour of a hard/soft reset.
Either way the XDA helpline will talk you right through it.
Hey, this i s a great bit of kit, recieved mine yesterday, did the basic install so no O2 active on today screen, but i cant send or recieve mms messages. Contacted O2, they emailed me different setting to try, which i have inputted. Can now connect and browse internet fine, but still cannot sort out the MMS issues. Anyone got any ideas???
Had phone for two weeks, got cracked screen, looses memory, doesn't acknowledge call history, problems with bluetooth.
In short, a complete nightmare lost loads of customers because of it!!!
has anyone else had problems with screen cracking - I have had 3 phones in 3 months on insurance - O2 say its not a design fault?

Yeah just double click TCMP icon of your desktop and auto-install should begin.
Thanks mate, did try with sync but only managed to drag file from pc and place it into program files on x d a, wont open. Do u have to run it on pc first or just move it unopened, is t c m p 4 player i got. Thanks.
Thanks mate, did try it ,can click and drag player file putting it into program file but cant open it and dont appear in menu. Should i open and run player in p c first or just move unopened file? Thought was doing well to upgrade software now this makes my teeth itch! Thanks.
andi c-You need to have the XDA connected and have active sync running. Then using 'My Comnputer' or the 'Explore' option in active sync find TCMP file and double click.
Most if not all applications are installed this way,i.e active sync recognises what your trying to do and starts the process automatically. Then follw the instructions on the handset.
Ben-You could try good old eBay, i've seen a few people selling damaged EXEC's with screens intact, though they don't come up very often and still command quite a price.
My advice would be to claim on your handsets insurance for a new unit. If you don't have insurance then get some, leave it a few weeks and make a claim.
have down loaded tcmp player to pc but cant move it into xda, anyone help as i,m pretty thick on these things ! thanks for any help.
Simon-Try downloading something like 'PocketDivXEncoder' i'm pretty sure its the PC based software that TCMP recommends for converting.
You'll be able to play windows media files without any conversion but they eat space on your memory card.Real Media files are usually more compact but images appear blocky and sound can be poor.
I would say AVI offers the best value in terms of card memory used and picture/sound quality.
There are alot of conversion suites out there(most are free)if the one above doesn't suit you.
Has you EXEC arrived yet?
ive downloaded core media player so how the hell do i convert tv shows etc they already say they r a core media file so does that mean i can just tranfere them to my exec or wot i dont know y ime doin this i havnt even got it yet ime not gettin it 4 2 weeks o well at least im prepared
