Hi i have been using the o2 XDA II for almost 4 yrs now ie,,and want to shift for the new xda EXECutive ,,it looks good with to a certain better features with the fact that it is 3g and has a stunning features ,,but i reckon the processer is still the same ,,
can someone help me?
i want to put some games and other softwares in my o2 exec. i have already downloaded alot from the website.
how do i transfer it to my o2? i tried dragging it down to my o2 but all programs wont work.
its a prety cool phone/pda.heavy no doubt,bigg ?!??! yuppp!!! but then again its amazing,features wise.excellent display .
one problem though, cant get my bluetooth headset to bond/be detected by the phone ,i have a akono bluetooth headset which i want to use with the phone.......any suggestions ??!?!? thanks
Jit-It really is all down to your requirments. The MINI has the same basic features as the EXEC only scaled down for a more compact unit. It has a slower processor and isn't 3G.
But according to this site the EXEC only has bluetooth v1.2 where as the mini goes one better with v2. Not sure if thats right, i'll have to look into it.
When researching it myself i worked out the mini is about the size of the nokia 7610, for comparison purposes.
You are sacrificing that great swivel screen though, which for me was one sacrifice to many.
ive got one its an amazing piece of kit..but i think its a PDA first and a phone 2nd! im stuggling to get to grip with the ize it is very big!!! im thinkin an exchange for xda mini? i really want a p990i but that aint ever comin out!! any other suggetions? shud i go for the mini?
a great buy the best pocket pc I have ever had. great functionality and smooth looks
The 02 shop is in Portsmouth,High Street.
But I knew the bloke, he is a friend, and gave me so much % discount on the traiff.
So it helps if you know someone who works for 02.
Yeah you can install TomTom and the like but you may need some help configuring as i don't think it works without modifing some files. I think i posted a link further down of a guy on ebay who sells the info for a few quid.
thanks for the advice pete & co, Im lookin forward to gettin mine in the post any day soon! I hope I can get past the size issue, im just think how will I carry it around to clubs and pubs! oh well Ive got a few others phones to carry if I knw im gonna be gettin very drunk!
otherwise i cant wait to use function Im looking forward to installing some software for in car navigation if this possible?
Can i know the location of the shop u bought yr EXEC?
Or better u can recommend me to the shop.
Can the monthly be cheaper than 21pounds?
I got this phone a couple of weeks ago.
I must admit, the size did put me off, then I thought its better the most standalone PDA's and specs are brillant and its a phone, and when you pull it out you get WOW whats that! and then you tell them it does this and it can do that and they are just gobsmacked.I have not yet had one person say anything bad about it. I got phone for £100 on 02 400 talk & 200 text, all for £21 a month, cause I knew the bloke in the shop, he got me a staff deal, so Could'nt not take it, and he said after 12 months I can carry on the same traiff. I would recommend a buletooth headset, rather then holding the phone to your ear. This phone is for anyone really, not just business men, if you like your gadgets - would recommend.
Hey JIT i too was concerned about the size, so much so that i almost bought the XDA mini instead. But then i thought i'm gonna have this phone for at least a year and want the best spec i can possibly get, bulky or not.
You soon get used to the size and be ready for loads of people saying "ah cool, lets have a go"
will i be happy? Ive jus ordered mine today on upgrade for 100quid on o2 750 mins and 400 texts for 36quid a month! i really hope I like it, worried about the size and if its practical..but looks like a smart piece of kit! really wanted the p990i but sony ericsson are just taking too long!
does anyone khow or have a website they could give me that provides free software for this device?
any info would be great
Other thing I'll add is that for brilliant support from like-minded users, try xda-dev.com - it's fantastic. 90% of the problems you'll come across have already been solved by the boys on there.
