Is the processor speed correct?
Texas Instruments OMAP 850, 195 Mhz processor.
That's way too slow than O2 Mini which has 416Mhz.

i have to buy a digital camera, a cellphone, a video cam,a and laptop computer. i find this unit very gud if only it has a better camera coz the phone is gud, the video is gud the wifi is gud which is not found in the old o2xdamini, and the only drawback is the camera better yet if it has 3mpxl so don't need to look for another smartphone.this is a 4n1 device unlike sony produce camera and video only, kodak produces camera and video only.so this is a better option and saves the bulky equipment

the phone looks good however it is much better if the camera has a higher resolution like 2mp coz other are now producing 2mp camera for their new models like the sonny ericsson w800i, to beat the competion

Could somebody clarify whether it has pocket office functions - outlook, excel, word and handwriting recognition as well?

Is there a finger dial-pad available on the screen for phone numbers? or do i always have to use a stylus?

Is it available in black - either in O2XDA Mini-S or I mate K Jam?

very much interested in this. still nothing official from O2 though [just checked the products page on their asia website]. from what I've read the K-JAM [HTC Wizard from i-mate] is pretty zippy and the thumb board is great. I have an i-mate JAM and well their support isn't so good that's why I'm waiting for the O2 version.

XDA mini-S is cool h/set but it cost is more than expectation. I guess it it functionally not very different wid O2 XDA IIs.

To Owen.

Don't worry about the keyboard beeing qwertz, as far as it comes on the market it will be locallized to the country it is selling in so all people will get it with there nations keyboard. Very smart indeed. The one oin the picture is a preproduction unit witch is not locallized.

the xda mini S is cute but I think, the xda II mini would be more useful and appealling if it will be physically configured like that of the Samsung D 500.

i'll try to answer my own question below about the keyboard...

I think its a German version or German layout thats why its QWERTZ

not good if that's so.

Heard that Dopod has a better model and the user interface is much better than O2. It comes with WM5 as well.

Actually CPU is by TI where old mini from intel. With this in mind, it doesn't translate to that mini s will be slower than mini. It just how cpu cycle are count, but in one cycle it could may be run more app cycle than the other. I have read in some place, this TI's CPU will be a bit faster than Intel; and it actually dual core so it will end up faster (wait till it out to be confirm).

I would rather buy phone from other brands since the support from O2 is extremely poor. e.g. slow response in availability of ROM upgrade.

I've got a mini right now.
This latest evolution has lost some of the great looks of the original mini and definitely doesn't look as good now.
It's great to have a quad band and the WiFi now as well as more memory but, the processor is slower... I wonder if that will affect things... in particular my planned VOIP.
Having no edge is disappointing. After all, one can't always have WiFi signal.
Anyone have any accurate info on expected price?

Nice phone! I think the dimentions are wrong... With the keyboard and wifi shouldn't it be thicker than the Mini? Like-108x58x*23.7* (expansys' dimentions)?
