Hi Richard....... bad luck me thinks. I bought an XM for the music player. I have had no issues with battery performance (it does use the juice.... as expected / My battery lasted three and a half hours). Texts seem okay. Love the performace / speed. Problem now is ........ my wife wants a phone.

Maybe you got a Monday phone.

I bought this phone, and took it back.It was quite a nice phone, and the mp3 player was very good.

The problem was that I bought this for the mp3 player as I am always on coachs, but the The battery life was terrible.it went from full to flat in around 2 hours of usage. Not much good on a 3 hour journey! Also the mp3 player kept freezing up, and required restarting. Finally it kept switching off randomly

Finally the text messaging was not good. I couldn't work out how to add new words into the dictionary for the predictive text. wasn't in the instruction manual either.

shame really as this could have been a really nice phone

My Dad's bought me an XM instead of an iPod. I was really p****d at first, but the fact that I can have 1Gig of tunes and a camera and a camcorder and a phone, all in 1 small package - I'm stacked and my mates are really jealous:-)

Julia......... Read your post, and bought an XM. Music player / speed is the highlight for me.

£180 UKP....... its a bargin. The Intel chip inside sure speeds things up.

Yes........ I have purchased an XM and am amazed at the speed of the thing, compared to my old Nokia.

Downloads work for me..... what a fab product.

Im thinking about buying one, so it would be nice to hear from someone who bought it!

hi,

just been comparing this with the O2 X4. Confused... can this play MP3 ringtones?

Are there any other differences between this and the X4?

Please help! Thanks :-)

Firstly, let's get the technical spec correct.
This phone is a tri-band 900/1800/1900, so it works in the USA.

It's out today and is available on contract and pay as you go (£180-£200 in O2 shops).

The screen is vibrant, the spec is good, but the biggest plus point is its speed. Because this device has an Intel processor, it's very very fast. There's no waiting for menus, no delay between photo or video selection.

I'm getting one for sure and I expect to get a lot of interest from friends and family around present giving times.

Red wrote "- Fact: It is NOT a Maxon phone like the X1 (read my last entry)"

Both right and wrong. It 100% developed in Denmark by FL Telecom. Which is the reinkarnation of Maxon(they went down last year)
