hi everyone... i had a palm treo 750 for like 6 months now..it was working too good..everything.... a couple of days ago..i connected it to one of my friend's laptop and i think it got infected by virus...i cant see any virus file but the phone storage memory is entirely used..although ive deleted all the extra files like office files n songs etc...
ive tried by resetting it..but cant find any clue..it gets hang..and shows a msg of critical memory..it has got a 2 gb memory card which is not affected in anyway..
please if anyone knows what to do..any kind of anti virus software etc whatever..please guide me.
my email is. amad83@hotmail.com.
waiting for positive responses.

I bought a brand new Treo 750 six months back. All i remember is using it for the first 2-3 months happily, but then started the trouble. The handset goes on forzen, tried real bad all the way i could. Finally threw it aside and went for a Nokia. Though it can't cover 45% utility which Treo extends now I feel better. So far my current Nokia handy never proved as a frozen brick in the hand. I can answer it when rings and I can ring my friends whenever I want.
Can anyone suggest me, if it's good if I go for changing it's OS from Windows to Palm OS ??!

This is a great mobile for handling everyday errands. I have had no real problems with the phone. Sync'n is simple. Text threading is life saver and a must! The contact list is superb. The only con (if even that) is after sync'n the phone, it won't go into standby so the screen remains on. Simple fix, just reset! (Maybe it’s just my mob?) Learn how to use the phone properly & not is it only a great phone but a great tool. Keypad is great too, even for my sausage fingers!

ok no it does not have an off button. just a standby
you can turn off the phone but thats it.
but it has great battery life so its not like you even need to turn it off. withing a day it only loses 30% battery of you like me and send 200 texts a day

Don't buy this phone. Well, if you plan on using it for less than a year, go for it. This thing started to malfunction after a year. Problem started when it would no longer sync with the computer. Formatted my computer only to find out it was an issue with the phone and not the computer. Did a hard reset on the phone. Worked fine afterwards, except now it only opens a single program at a time. If I want to check my Calendar and then check my contacts, I must first go to the Task Manager and close the Calendar. I'm wondering why Nokia won't just come out with a Windows Mobile phone, for my sake!

-as far as non-touchscreens go, nokia e71 or e63 look pretty good, if you would consider them as the kind of pda you're looking for
