Hey all, just purchased this fone 2day, and am actually quite happy with it...its a lot smaller than i thought it would be, with a massive screen...anyways, i was just wondering if anyone (in australia) has bought this fone on vodafone prepaid? i purchased mine as vodafone prepaid, and was all prepared to switch my number over from optus prepaid to vodafone, but decided to try my optus SIM, lo and behold, the fone isnt actually locked to vodafone at all! :D so now my only problem is all this vodafone live crap on the fone. is it basically just the VS2/Vodafone GPRS browser? Also, is there anyway i can put the sonic game on the phone as the aus versions didnt come with the game? And lastly, is there any firmware upgrades available for this fone?

PLZ HELP. I have this phone and it is awesome but when I put am mp3 it only plays 5 seconds of the song! Can anyone tell me whyy? And how can i make it AT LEAST 20 seconds!

i av ad dis fone 4 a yr now and itwas kk at first bt now my battery neva charges 2 da full nd i cnt recieve poly tones of ma m8s like a used 2 this is really effin annoyingplus can ne 1 help me coz ma fone wont download stuff via wap nd i dont know how to get it plus i am gettin a new fone duz ne 1 av ne ideas as 2 witch 1 2 get it as 2 b samsung !!! ty lv ellie pleeez answer me coz no 1 eva seems to in da past :(

Hi all. Have finally figured out how to get mp3's onto the VS2. The mp3 has to be less than 1mb. Sooo..need a program to chop the mp3 file down to about a third (under 1 mb). At that point, got onto the internet. Usually i go to tucows.com for downloadable freeware/shareware. Found a number of programs that allow you to adjust the bit rate (32-48) seems to work at a freq 22050. Am currently working with AMRconverter Pro on demo for 15 days, after that its $US19.99. Will post further tips if I find any. Oh, once file is converted to less than 1 mb and saved in a folder somewhere just open file manager in the handset manager software and drag and drop into sounds folder!

that scared me there about the batterys turning big on you. Im not sure if those ppls who have messed up batteries charge their phone alot. I know the phone gets pretty hot when its charging so you just have to be careful
about the phone not working or hanging up or whatever the case is. I think the phones reception isnt A+ quality so sometimes it has a hard time going through. Sometimes you call and cant hear the other party. Its a connection problem so just hang up and redial.
you can only upload Mp3s on your phone that are like 3mb avg mp3 size. if its over that then you cant becus the file is too big. and you must use the program the phone came with to upload to your phone.

i'm very satisfied about this phones.But,i'm a little worried about the auto-open-flip,i'm sure that's features at anytime will broke down.At all,i'd love taking pictures using this phones with the 1.3 megapixels.And one more thing,i'm really dissappoint for the speaker,it should not be at the back of the phone,because it will make the sounds very slowly.

Anyone having problems with receiving calls? My girl has this phone and sometimes when I call her it goes straight to her voicemail. Her phone is on and there is reception tho when I call. Also she tries callin me back, but when she pushes the talk button, it says call ended. Any ideas?

Hey, I found how to get the time and date that each text message was sent. Simple: just press the centre silver button on the 'joystick' when reading a text. Duh - can't believe I could not figure this out but others here have also posted this problem. The instruction book could be helpful on this matter!

There is a feature that you can assign the external light to flash a certain colour when a specific person phones or texts. I have not tried it but read the instruction book - for example if you see a green light blinking you know that Maria has called, etc.

My wife LOVES this phone and I am impressed also. Fantastic screen, excellent camera!
BUT is there any way we can find when a text message was sent - the time and day??? I cannot believe a phone as great as this would be without a basic feature such as the time and date that each message was sent/received.
The battery appears to be too small. We have only had this phone for 3 days but it already seems that a charge will not last as long as the specs specify. I have turned off the back lighting of keys to extend the time between chargings.

never never buy PANASONIC VS2!! my friends and i face the same problems as our batteries all become fatter and fatter!it's so dangerous to use them in such conditions! i'm now searching for ways to complain to the company. can anyone tell me where can i lodge a report?

erm.PLSPLSPLS.someone explain this.
i used this phone and suddenly on one day, when i try to on my phone,the screen did come on.but after 3 secs it was BLACKout again.i tried a few times and yet i get the same kind of thing happening.when i took out my batteries,i saw tat it has become swollen.it was somehow, FATTER! how come this happens?i din do anything to this phone..

I bought this phone and was really excited about everything about it. I especially liked the wide screen, beautiful camera capture, everything...
EXCEPT, that LAST MONTH, not more than 11 months from the time i bought it, the mother board broke and i was told it needs replacement. I got it fixed. TODAY, it broke again, for one reason or another. All my joys for buying this phone went down the drain. I take good care of my phone, it does not fall to the ground, charge it properly and it still breaks within a year from purchase. crap!
