i had this phone for 6 month and it is easily scratched and get just a bit of water on it and it completly stops working as mine did so i'm back to my old phone. The CD for the programs in also not the best working.
Apart from this...the phone has FANTASIC features

Best phone i ever had.I have it for a year and still can't get enough of it.Now i have mp3, ogg,random ringing tone(ogg only), opera browser,and best of all a .avi player(divx,xvid,with mp3 sound)in full screen mode. Is the best phone ever.By the way don't let the charger connected all the night because there is a fault in the phone:after finishing the charge the charger sucks the battery.

My Panasonic X700 review (after a month of use):

The Good: One of the few Symbian OS clamshell phones available. The S60 OS allows you to run game emulators like goboy (game boy), vnes (NES), picodrive (Genesis), eeMame (Arcade), frodo (Commodore), etc. as well as utilities, play MP3's, videos, etc. All of these run fine on this phone (I tried them all). It's a nice looking phone with a nice bright 2.2" screen, has a camera (VGA), video and sound recorder. Comes with real-one player. Good reception.

The Bad: Overall quality/refinement is not as good as Samsung, Nokia, Motorola, etc. A lot of things like the VGA camera, battery life, phone volume, keypad, mechanical feel, processor speed are "marginal", not great. The battery will last a day even with lots of use, but no more. People who complain about their battery not lasting the day don't have the phone configured right (there are lots of things such as the screen and application settings that effect battery life). If you charge it every night you'll be fine.

Overall: If you want a Symbian based clamshell phone for a decent price this is a good choice. Just don't expect Samsung/Nokia level quality and refinement. I'll stick with this until the Samsung Z600 is available and at a decent price...

After 10 months this phone is useless .circut boarss are hard to get ,Panasonic only offer cheap non blue tooth phone as replacement,
NO WONDER IT WAS SCPAPPED

Nice phone! supports minisd, i installed a 256mB card and downloaded lots of tones, themes, games, images, 3g videos, documents like ms word, excel, even ppoint. Works great with 3g converter programs. Very clear display, no prob for me reg accessories & batteries here in the philippines, love this phone! :)

awesome phone..man..all these features u get in the price are far better than the other phones in its class like 6600..got an extra battery too..looks soo good..id really advice this set here..despite droppin on concrete twice..still works flawlessly.

this phone is really good, put music onto it and it connects to the computer. it's battery last for a while if you don't play with it all the time. i think any one should get it it's good.

this phone is a piece of crap.... i got it for christmas and after about 5 months it started going all screwy.....kept freezing and turning itself off....and now it doesn't even turn on. and i looked after it so well. i hate this phone and dont buy it because it doesn't take long to die.

It is an excellent mobile. But the problem is that its accessories like extra batteries etc; are not available even in there showrooms in cities like Islamabad, Dubai, Jeddah.

I got this phone as a gift and loved it from the inception, however the battery life is not good, I charge it all night and before the working day is through the battery goes dead, I thought of purchasing another battery however if the problem is with the battery how will another one help?

this phone is cool as i got this phone for christmas i have had no problems it has wicked stuff on it like i just bought a 2 gig sd card tats wicked and if you want mp3 go to wma on google and download it from one of the links it's been really good you can play mp3.

Worst celphone i've ever used! Just used it for 5months and it all went off. Everytime i used it for text messaging the screen just goes on and off, message sending failed. Can't recieve calls anymore, no volumes. This phone really gave me a terrible headache. Spend so much just to have this phone fix but nothing happened. I just hope the Panasonic Co. will not produce this kind of celphone anymore or they should produce good qualities of celphones.

I have had my Panasonic X700 approx six months. Very disappointed with it. The battery goes flat after 30 hours even when I havent even used the phone at all. I have also had problems with the volume. Just want to throw it away. Fairly slow to respond. Now have heard from friends with a Panasonic phone that they have similar problems. Definitely don't recommend.

good phone, no problems what so ever. Can't say the same for my son. About 3 month old, and it started to play up. Sent it away, they said it was the board, replaced it under warranty.Took 4 weeks,came back unlocked, works real good.
have wma player, ogg player, mp3 player, all work good, trying to find a radio for it.
Can anyone tell me if they have unlocked their phone from optus.
