I had this phone til I lost it. I never really appreciated it until it was gone... Sure i hated the fact that whenever i dropped it i had to reset it, or the fact that there was never enough memory, or the handset was too big, or the ringtones were gay. But all-in-all, now that i have to find a new phone and i see whats on the market, this phone was pretty good. I just loved how stylish it looked and now cannot find a replacement. BOO to that!

teehee, i got x700 phone yesterday :p cause i dropped my old phone in coke :p really really happy with it, but the only problem is, its too big T-T and the ringotnes are BAD like terrible, not the quality, just the melody n stuff :s anyway happy happy happy :p highly recommended, buh its either my slowness or the phone, cause it loads rele slowly n the functions are kinda hard to use -__-" dun blame me if it me :p

Download and install in X700 "UltraMP3" and than you have MP3 in your phone :)

Well, i'm very pleased with it. For those who want to have a mp3 player, i say that it is not worth it. I have tried to found and i did not succed. instead of mp3 i use .OGC, and a player on my telefon with ogc support and works better than mp3. You will need a mp3 to ogc convertor but it's no problem.
A question I have:
When I flip it, open it, (when i say that i open it not that i power it) is any software that i could set so I could hear sound? Hope you understand me

How do I choose where to instal a certain programme (on the phone or the card)? Some *.sis ask but other don't. What happens when the phone memory is full and you still need to install some software? Does the phone install it on the card automatically?

its a great phone, except when it randomly shus off, nd now doesn't have any sound watsoever. So I can't take calls or hear it ring. Nd he screen is all spotty. Not happy jan

I have an X700 and it's by far the worst phone I've ever had. I've owned it since May 2005 and it's now broken in January of 2006. First to go was the vibration feature. Now it only vibrates once in a week or so of full use. And then last night the screen decides to break and 1/4 of my screen is now black ink. No, I didnt smash it! I dont have a clue what made the screen do what it did but it's wrecked now after not even a year of use.
Oh yeah, and the dictionary has very limited storage capacity for new words and after putting in about 8 new words it will start over-writing the new words shortly after.
I have never ever had a problem with any of my Nokias and now I think they have a good flip phone - which is the only reason I bought the X700.
For those also with the phone, I think your battery gets low really quickly because you aren't quitting the applications. For some reason having them open will drain the battery quicker. Hold down the menu button to see whats open and then close them properly.

I bought this phone. Pretty nice phone. However I have a problem the phone shuts it down when I get a call infrequently. Can anyone tell me where I can get the firmware for this phone so that I can upgrade or rewrite the current firmware.

I how this cell now for month and is great. all works fine.
Firt there was some problem with battery life but after a week of usage it holds now 3-4 days. It depends of usage.
Also this is only symciam clamshell, light and has all features. Camera is not 1 Mpx but who need this. if you wanna shoot pic buy digital camera.
By default it doesnt support mp3 but the is a lot of symbian appz to add support.
And great thing is that with ths phone you have option to setup speed of bluetooth.
