yup, basically x800 is just x700 w/o the antenna and with the changeable cover. i'd still pick x800 over the x700 for the sleeker look and the thinner body. rumours has it that it should be out in march... let's hope they won't be any delay with it like the x700.

I think the significant difference between the X700 and X800 is that X800 does not have antena while X700 has. Also the casing is changable. One thing having an antena is a pain. So comparing a X700 and X800. I would say X800 is better in terms of the absence of the antena.

Yeah i will have to agree with you hey..... Afterall there is`nt much big progress with x800 and z800 since the x700.

i said no mp3 unless you use 3rd party application. dun put words in my mouth, i nvr said it can nvr play mp3 but the phone itself doesn't support mp3 not unless you install a 3rd party application for it. and the site you're showing me talks about x800 when i'm tellin you that z800 is a 3g phone. can you please read properly before replying?

As a conclusion these 3 phone has the same ability unless for the camera in z800. Whatever u put in z800 application u can put in x700 & x800.as example, Its like under Windows xp ,whatever u got in ur computer,i can have it too cause im using windows xp,cause the main things its using Symbian 7 series 60, so if it cost big fortune for these 2 phones i suggest get x700 cause itsall same,unless u wanna spend money for the looks.All using mini sd card that max can take is 256mb.If u says theres no mp3 thats wrong , Im saving 50 mp3 songs on continous play in my x700 and sounds clear and perfect. I store 20 java games,i use it as a fm radio ,anti masquito,tv remote etc ,as i get many free Symbian apllication over the net and some has to buy it too.Well thats smartphone about!

and the person who quoted about hardware for mp3s said that until panasonic decides to put it in, there'll be no support for mp3s (not until you use a 3rd party software), where did i even mention anything abt this phone having hardware for mp3s? the quote mentioned that until panasonic decides to add it in, there'll be no mp3s support. i only mentioned about 3rd party application which you can find and install in order to play mp3 on the phone.
and is there a rule that says that a phone needs to have more than 65k to qualify it as a 3g phone? in that case, that would make phones like SE s700i, motorola v3, most pantech phones, mitsubishi m900 g3 phones then since their screen is 262k colors?

i did not rely on gsmarena for my phone info or i won't be repeating for ever and ever that there's no 1.3megapix cam for x800 when it was stated that there is. (well they removed it) and if you bothered reading my post properly, i was not the one who said abt hardware for mp3s, i was quoting someone else. i did mention a third party software to play mp3 and as long as it's a symbian phone, you can find a third party mp3 player for this phone and z800 is a 3g phone. look around in chinese sites, it has 2 cameras. one for photos and the other for video conferencing.

maybe the z800 just a little difference one, it has a really 1.3mp ccd camera. Just what i said b4 the difference would be the 1.3 camera , no other thing

to davyj and cilipadi. This gsmarena phone data not all 80% correct. X700 have 16mb internal and it says 8mb, there is realone player in x700 that plays avi mpeg4 3gb etc .to davyj : install mp3 symbian player !Well if u guys
just read from this phone data well i think u should look at the phone by urself. to cilipadi AND do u sure theres a right hardware for
mp3 player ? u look at the phone urself ? or u look by this phonedata provided by gsmarena that even 1.3 camera is wrong ? u sure panasonic makes this type just to make a right mp3 player? And how do u know theres a digital player in this hardware?? This is the same symbian series 60 ! since when 3g come with 65k? where u get that 3g from .
Think Again!
Panasonic made these 3 phone the same feature as they are inside
but make x800 exchangeable covers .

z800 is a 3g phone, so it's different. and some1 posted this in another forum
As for MP3, X700 does not have digital rights management hardware, until Pana decides to put this hardware in, there will be no OEM support for MP3s. Maybe next time around??' (lost rebel in howardforums.com) so it might not play mp3 unless you use 3rd party software or have mp3 ringtones. not a biggie to me, i still want this phone!

thats not true x700 cant use mp3 i have used it and tried it wont read them or play them that is a difference with x800 it can and same with avi x700 cannot and x800 can. read the review on gsmarena they state it cant use mp3 or video, and series 7 is better then six cuz it is a different layout and it is faster for going through menu and playing large files and video

Ok this the truth x700 x800 z800 all has the SAME FEATURE ,dont get caught its coming soon and we would think better feature. Panasonic just changing its looks ! Choose ur style between this three if u like them

I have x700, memory inside 16mb without mini sd, well if theres no 1.3 camera , well panasonic just changing its cover !! the os also the same Symbian 7 series 60. All Symbian could handle multimedia phone such as mp3 avi etc ... So which style do u like, cause all feature the same

there is no 1.3megapix cam. gsmarena has already removed the 1.3megapix cam in its specs. i guess there isn't much differences between x800 and x700 except for the look and the fact that x700 has 8mb of memory while x800 has 16mb.

actualy it is version seven symbian and it can handle mp3 and avi so i would call those BIG DIFFERENCES.....

This is not different from x700 ,the only different is the camera from vga to 1.3mb . display still 65k . No improvement , still a level to x700
