I don't mind AT&T, unlike seemingly everyone else. However, I can't wait to ditch this phone. It has many nice touches and features for its price. It is also equally annoying. From a crappy proprietary charge jack with cheap Chinese made chargers that never fit quite right, to having to return it twice for warranty exchange within the year for different issues(one reception, one display). I now have it in a rugged shock absorbing case and the third one seems to be holding up. Hopefully, it will hold up till my contract is up. I think I may just start buying phones unlocked from now on.So, trying to make this thing hold up until contract end, even though I could do a free upgrade right now,

This phone is good but it freezes.
The screen freezes so it's not able to see anything.
You can still use it when it's frozen but you can't see anything. EX: Texting
I DON'T LIKE THIS PHONE!!!!

Can you block some one from call your phone? My daughters X is calling her 40 times a day and wont stop.

The paint has been coming off. I've had it for 3 months. It does shut off in the middle of texting or doing anything but it happens rarely. hope this helps!

I have a friend that just purchased a matrix unlock for $163.20 with tax no contract was a deal or a wack judgement of desperation please let me know.

I just got the pantech matrix and have no clue how to make pictures that are sent via pic message bigger...anyone with answer's?

the person who wrote that their phone was freezing wasn't saying that all of the matrix's freeze... they were just saying that theirs did. if you read further they state that they got a new one and hasn't had any problems with it.

i just bought this phone unlocked and im using it for tmobile now but i cant get it to recieve or send pictures. what do i do? any suggestions?

i have had a pantech matrix since june it is awesome it works perfectly and does not freeze like the other guy said

I got my first Pantech Matrix on Christmas and it worked well up until January. It started freezing and ended up coming completely off the track. When I brought my phone in I got another one for free and have had it up until now. This one hasn't broken off the track but freezes a lot and says insert sim card (when the sim card is in there) daily, and sometimes more than once a day. This phone seemed cool since it could slide both ways but I wouldn't recommend it at all. Get a better phone and save some money!

Have had my blue Matrix since Christmas and the paint is coming off and the phone just shuts down while I'm texting. Has anyone else had problems with the Paint? I'm concerned since I have a 2 year old and with all I have read about the lead in paint from other countries??

I have owned my Pantech Matriz since April,2009. I adore the phone. It was a great choice for me. I would not trade it for any other kind of smart phone. The color is sensational. Very happy with it. So far no break downs or act ups.

this is a good phone but it has alot of problems! it blanks out and restarts randomly it also takes awhile to delete the messages overall it's an OK phone but has quite a few problems it is easy to text on though.
