@ Rick, It's ignorance like that make the internet a nasty place, a phone is ment to RING and make calls not to sing dance and make you a drink wilst doing it,
I personally like Philips phones owned a few myself and very reliable and easy to use :)

Philips should stop manufacturing mobiles at all!!! They are better off with TVs and other good for nothing stuff!!

Your on the Right track with this phone.
Things i like:
[1] Shape/color
[2] No silly external screen to get damaged.
[3] No Bluetooth, prefer phones that accept ((wired)) hands-free kits[universal type}.Wired types alllow me to reduce my exposer to unnecessary RF radiation to head.
[4] Use beefier 750mAh Li-Ion battery.
[5] Keypad layout is great/simple.
[6] Want best reception/sound quality.
[7] No intergrated advertisements or forced services built into phone like "Live-Ticker" feature motorola uses on many of thier phones.
[8] Needs to be Quad phone 850/900/1800/1900.
[9] Should be available UNLOCTED to US customes at no extra cost.
[10] No Camera, every does not want one on thier phone, plus many jobs dont allow them!
[11] If has Java, should be able to be turned off via menu like in PC web browser, its just as dangerous as ActiveX.
[12] No buttons on side of phone to accidentally push.
[13] No embedded RFID2 chips!
[14] Speakerphone feature would be Ok.
[15] caller-id and vibrate alert is nice.
[16] No silly spring loaded hindges to break.
Keep at $110 retail would be sweet.
A solid well-built phone for just talking!!

Looks some what nice but not exactly original. Looks supciously like the razr. Also maybe it is too early for the final specs but if these are indeed the specs for this phone, then that sucks. Looks only get you so far, phones need to be functional first before they are fashionable.

oh philips, do you have creative designer? do you know, motorola cried because your product (580) copied from motorola product (w220)?all design, features copied from motorola!!

Wow. Excellent phone with the FM Radio. Battery life is unexpectedly long. Color is too good. I am using this phone since 6 month and it is superb.

This phone is looking good. But it lokks similer to another model of Motorola.
There should be cmera and MP3 Facilities in this mobile
