its really cool to have..i have used it for almost 2yrs..havnt changed the battrey...it is been theft..i m thinking of rebuying it..

it's o.k.
it has a lot of stuff but i feel the missing of the bluetooth. the menstrual calendar it's even good for boys.you know what i mean.
the batery...1-2 days.

Just got this phone and the charger won't charge the battery. Was in a hurry so didn't test it before i bought it. The USB cable won't charge the battery nor will it show a new device on my PC. Now i'm using a modified charger to charge the battery externally. If the charged battery can start the phone, then i will have to bring the phone back to the shop for a refund.

Hello , I have this phone for about 9 months and It was a "must have" from the minute I saw it . It's very small , elegant and the battery last so long ( 5-7 days). Anyway it has some small problems : during the calls it's very easy to cover by mistake the microphone or camera during the photos ; the photos are slowly loaded for preview , but the quality is very good and also has some other functions where it was nice to have an OK mentioned by ex: when I want to write a message I choose Messageses->SMS->Write Messages ->and the left and right options for TO field are OPtion and Exit , I choose Option->then Contacts -> SElect a contact and then I have to Options : Cancel and EXit ...what about OK ??? So it's strange , but you can use the OK button if you're inspired :)

Can we use mp3 files for sms alert??
& what type of philips phones can use mp3 as sms alert??

i hv used this philips 588 since i bought it on July 07. Now, i have problems wth d MP3. cannot play on when i click on the main menu. once i click play, the phone went off n starting to re-on back. has anyone facing this similar prob as me? if u do, then tell me how to get my MP3 functioning back. its so boring without some musics...or does my hset hv to be repaired?

I used this phone for a long quiet time from the 1st its released. I was attractive by the design so cute. The best thing is it has the lady's planner. It is very useful for me. Thanks PHILLIPS!

I got this phone as a gift from my bf. But the user manual is in Russian x_x
Does anyone know how to edit group settings? I want to put in my family's number into a group but whenever I go to group settings (contacts > advance > group setting), all I get is the option to chose a tiny display picture and to edit the name of the group. How do I add contacts into it?????

A few weeks ago someone gifted me that phone. i really liked it. But as some others say I couldn't connect to the computer. I thought it is a software problem. And searched a lot. Finally i found another driver. and voila. it worked for the philips 588 and also i downloaded lots of java games to try. some of them worked with that phone. And then i thought i can share all things about this phone on a blog. about 3 or 4 days ago i bought my-philips.net domain. just got this phone (philips 588) few months ago.
really hot and lady like phone
mp3 is loud and can keep around 20 songs
but
it has a problem with its speaker
sounds for mp3 can be heard but cant hear caller during calls while my voice can be heard by the caller..
but if i use speakerphone, the callers voice can be heard clearly and so can the keypad's sounds..
anybody can advise me on this please??

this is a female phone,too sad.as philips say it cause it has some 'female' functions.
i am a male user,so far no problem but how to put games and songs if the pc synchronise dont work.
