The phone is realtively ok for its price (free! with sybscription). However, I noticed that the screen goes totally blank at idle mode. That means you can't see the missed calls and message received icons without first pressing a button (to activate the display).

Is that normal with this unit or is mine defective? Thanks.

I like the phone except for the input of Text which takes a lot of getting used to. Caps lock is always on or all lower case whichever you choose you're stuck with a non conventional way to input text.

HOW TO PUT THE INTENDED CORD FOR THE UNIT FROM THE HEADSET: Open the battery cover and look for the bottom part of the unit, PRESTO! there's the slot intended for the cord..... hope everyone could find it, bcoz its the first thing i discovered and impressed with the PHILIPS IDEA... GREAT... GREAT.. GREAT!

I got my S660 as my loyalty with suncellular. I love my first philips unit, for a change and not the usual nokia low end as a loyalty unit. its great even the intended lace holder attached to the earpieace, its a great idea philips. no hassle to provide for another necklace for the unit. even the sound is great. U can have this for plan 350 with suncell network.

Got mine from Sun Cellular too but when I went home to tinkle with it I found a single dead pixel. I returned it for a replacement but the officer in Sun's Pioneer branch showed me the best unit (as far as she is concerned) but with more than 1 dead pixel (actually a cluster). I like the phone but it seems there may exist a dead pixel in majority of the units somehow. What made the matter worst was that they dont know what a dead pixel is.

good features as an extra phone but not as a main fone...design is lacking; it's ugly. but everything is great!

Just got my FLP (Fixed Load Plan) 350 unit from Sun Cellular today.. I chose Philips S660 because of its unparalled features compared to other handsets (Nokia 2610, Nokia 2310, Sony Ericsson K310i, LG KG220, and Motorola C261)..

A friend of mine has this phone and he told me that the phone looked like a toy! When I first held it this morning, it wasn't like it at all.. I thought it looked pretty sturdy and the keypads are very easy to press and responsive! :) The screen is bright and well-illuminated.. The sound is pretty loud and clear.. Despite the absence of bluetooth and infrafred, I didn't think twice in availing this unit because it can be EASILY connected to the computer anyway using the USB Cable that came with the phone! Connection was a *snap*!!!! I hooked up my phone to my computer using the USB Cable and voila!!!!! I'm good to go to transfer pictures, videos, and mp3's to my phone.. I didn't even use a CD to install the phone on my computer.. :)

Unfortunately, I gave the phone away to my beloved brother!!!! (",) He lost his phone and I felt sorry for him that he doesn't have a phone.. So I decided to get this phone and give it to him! He now has a FREE phone, FREE unlimited sun-to-sun text messaging(for 2 years!!!), and FREE P200 Consumable Load per month (for 2 years also!!!).. Well, the unlimited text and the P200 load is not actually free.. for him it is because he's not paying anything, I am paying for it!!! Hehe.. :) But the phone is definitely FREE!!!!! On December, I'm going to avail my retention plan and planning to avail another Philips S660 and give it to my other younger brother.. He's phone is beat up already and needs to be replaced! :)

What can I say??? I love my brothers.. (",) Fritz and Carlo, love you both to death.. You both be good and study hard! Hehe.. :)

Kae, for you convenience, simply remove it from your device by deleting this particular music from your list using your phone interface or via your computer through USB cable. Just redownload anew which is supported by this device. I just noticed that this phone is quite meticulous when it comes to music format.
