Anyone used this phone in the US? Does it support UMTS over Cingular? Seems like it is only coming up in GSM mode. TIA.

QTEK 9000 MANUAL in English can be found here: http://www.qtek.nu/europe/prod...manuals.aspx
Does anyone know if this phone supports Dual Transfer Mode? I want to make a call while still surfing the net. Not sure if my phone is hanging when I try, or if it just doesn't support DTM anyway.

this PDA phone needs more colours (216K or 16M), GPS, Hard Disk (10Gb or more) and the camera could be better, have zoom and light to be perfect.

thanks a2dp
I also followed your advice with firmware upgrade. I had initial problems with bluetooth, that kept going off when I needed it the most. After the upgrade, I don't have anymore problems.
Thanks again

A2DP Now Available for WWE HTC Universal
April 06, 2006 [Pocket PC phone]
Good news: HTC Universal gets both AKU 2 (Push Email) and A2DP (stereo audio over Bluetooth). Now other HTC manufactured phones may follow...
Users of the first and only 3G/UMTS phone powered by Windows Mobile - the HTC Universal (known as i-mate JASJAR, Qtek 9000, T-Mobile MDA Pro, etc) now can get A2DP (stereo audio over Bluetooth) in a World Wide English (WWE) version. There is a catch though: this upgrade is available only for Qtek 9000 phones and can be installed in other HTC Universal phones too but one can lose warranty by doing so.
The HTC Universal now has fully functioning A2DP available in a worldwide English ROM update for the Qtek 9000. Obviously, there was not a hardware reason for HTC's decision to withhold A2DP from the initial AKU 2.0 updates (like for i-mate's JasJar); it must have been software problems.
Now looking forward to A2DP for the HTC Wizard and HTC Prophet devices...

If you are a true business user, then this phone is useless, continuos reboots false advertising render this phone useless,
Utterr rubbish stay well clear, we have 3 in our organisation, all perform equally poorly, as for battery life, not sure it even has a battery, couple of hours of heavy use and its flat, in car charger will not charge niether will laptop, only real way to charge is mains charger, oh and its SLOW very very slow. Windows mobile is flawed.

if it is slow, then You should upgrade the rom. After the rom- upgrade it will be faster.
If you change the rom, than you can change the language to english as well.
