I think that if it had a GPS embedded it would be the perfect device! And no, I dont want to add a card to do that. The slot should be available for swapping files, just like the old disk drive on a desktop computer. And linking through bluetooth or wifi, makes the bluetooth GPS just another thing to carry.

This phone is already launched in Taiwan.

Here is the link: http://www.mobile-review.com/n...?language=en

Further this phone has an infrared port. I saw in the specs that it didn't have that.

It is network dependant if the phone will reconnect you to the GPRS/EDGE network, after a phonecall. Earlier models supported it as well, were it would break the connection on a phonecall, for then to re-establish it.

Is this the same phone as the HTC TYTN?
Why is there no mention of the HSDPA capabilities?
Boy if this has HSDPA I can't wait!

I dont get the thing about the voting result either... like, the O2 XDA Trion is the same but with 8.4 all over... and then the i-mate JASJAM gets like 7.9; 7.8; 7.6 respectively... wierd these voting guys... lol

for HSDPA there will be 1 version supporting 850/1900/2100 OR there will be 2 differnet versions? (1 for U.S 850/1900 & 1 for Europe 2100 MHz)

Qtek 9600 has 1900 for US and perfectly works there. There is no IR function.

Anyone know if the 3g (the umts part not the edge), will work in the US? or is it 3g for europe only? the umts in US needs either 850 or 1900. Any info would be appreciated

Qtek 9600 is the same as O2 TRION. The Qtek gets a 9.0 and the O2 8.4. People are evualting imaging it how it can be its performance, its features and its theoretical design!!! Any logic to it?

"They should have upgraded the processor at least. It's far too slow to be used with Skype"

400MHz in this particular CPU is being reported as being quite nippy actually.

It's a superb phone, not without problems - slightly non-typical memory slot is a problem for people upgrading from full-size SD devices, and no normal headphone socket is a pain, but of course my bluetooth headphones are perfect for this device.

Non-standard USB is a problem too, but it looks like a standard usb may fit the slot anyhow? Who knows. Apart from that, this device is perfect for a small screen - VGA would have been too much to hope for, given the small screen size.

Can't wait till t-Mobile release it in Auguse with web and walk.
