My S110 has been working fine except having to remove the battery to turn the power off. I have done this many times before and I just did it yesterday, but now when I tried to turn the power back on I get the opening screen but the phone won't go any further. I have tried a soft and hard reset and it hasn't helped. Any ideas would be appreciated, email me at danshol05@yahoo.com.au

to hard reset (warning will blank ALL your data and settings to factory state) hold in camera and voicedial button (the two on the same side with the volume slider in between) while holding in, press the reset button at the bottom with the stylus

further to comments about not being able to switch it off, you can :) hold in the power button for a few seconds and it will switch off. make sure youve closed all progs first. as its a wm5 machine, you dont loose data like you did on winCE as data is stored to flash memory not ram. when switching back on, it takes a while as you have essientially performed a soft reset

Ignore my previous post - overall I have found this a very useful phone/pda. Camera quality is very good, and windows media enables you to transfer albums from your PC to the handset.
My only grumble is this - I kept getting a txt saying text waiting to be delivred inbox full, please delete messages. After deleting every message I had - still kept popping up message. After speaking to supplier vodafone (UK)i got 2 different options. 1 - go to nearest vfone shop for reconfiguration, or 2- back up all data and do a full reset myself. I opted for 2, taking 45 mins to back up files and did i regret it. I lost ALL my holiday pictures AND all my appointments/address!!! It is now too late to exhange phone for another one, so I need to learn how to back up pictures!!
Generally speaking htough this is a good choice

Two minor questions.
1. In the photo albums - is it possible to rename the albums/folders (such as cat photos),instead of having 06060600001 etc, like I have for a picture?
2. Can you play music through windows media. I tried to save some tracks from my Desktop PC Windows Media to the handset, and the format wasn't recognised. Any suggestions?
Overall I think its a great phone so far (had it delivered last week). loads of useful options and stuff!

Bought q tek about two months ago...major problems are:
Aligne screen sometimes goes crazy and have to aligne every day other times it repeats and dosent leave this function.
It can sudenly start to work slow, reminds me of windows in general god knows why but it crawls sometimes.
Lost all my data twice this is major problem.
I know we can do backups but somehow it did not do complete backup and u cant do these every day surely. volatile memory is bad.
Earphones sometimes have bad connection.
I bought this second phone the S110 hoping that it would be usefull to me but I can not trust this phone/PDA. Sorry Qtek lots of work needed

Hi,
You can switch off the phone component, by cliking on the icon for the gsm signal and clik to "turn on flight mode"

It doesn't switch off, it's a Windows Mobile device, meaning that switching off the power will result in a loss of data. The standby is what you have to work with, I'm afraid.

Quite impressive PDA phone for the size of it. However, does anyone know how to switch off the GPRS connection once connected. I had to turn on the flight mode to be able to turn off the GPRS.
