I have read most opinions here about this device and in most cases i dont agree. This device costs 400 US$ in Iran. For 400 $'s you cant even get a decent Nokia. This is a windows mobile phone and i think its the cheapest in the market, so dont anybody expect it to be perfect. You want a perfect phone spend +800 and you get everything in one pack.

My company gave me this S200 for free, as I am an AA customer, thou the list price was USD$890. This Pocket PC totally disappointed me for several reasons: Poor processor (I-Mate Jam has a better 400mhz), severely sluggish, and the most important of all the cons: very bad overall quality. Touch screen is terrible, I have to recalibrate it every day. The speaker stopped working after 6 months of use, so I have no sounds at all (including rings or music)
3 people I know had the same kind of problems.

Do not instal program "Photo Contakt" because you will have trouble after demo version.Your fhone will lose " MSC_start" file and you will lost impertant file for open standard contakt!

this is stupid phone. omap 850 chip should be beter at 195 mhz than x-scale 416 mhz if they've just put another arm core instad 160mhz dps core(totaly uncompatibile with wm system, only for gsm and audio) or make them to work together, and now it is to slow, just 60fps on atomic cannon, 589 score on vsbenchmark2006 and so on...

im buy s200 1 year a go,with out garanty in iran 400$ and now its 500$ :)) this phone is good,and i no have a problem with it.but the speaker sound is to low but in this 1 year never stop it,i dont have a broblem with LCD but i have a LCD protection on it.in this 1 year only 1 time im hard rest my s200.my s200 is 3 time Drop on ground but its never have problem.i have a meny program instaled on my device but only on program cant work properly with s 200 its shape service for messanger connecting,camera???dont forget its PPC and they dont have good camera,in sunlight u dont have problem but in night i think u never can capcuter the pic.if u use GPRS connectin for internet 1 day u can play with this phone with out battry charging,and u know if my phone need LCD i can replace it only in 1 hour in tehran with 120$ in mobile center.s200 s wifi is good and working good.my ringtone is mp3,i have a ansering machine,bluetooth is good and i have a DrYar Program and can recive my file and save in memory card,i have 2 gig sd memory.if i have a money buy HTC toch crouse,i love it...

Its speaker is too weak and it always break down,I bought it about 2 years ago and I've changed its speaker 3 times during this 2 years.

Today it might look a little bit outdated but you can get it really cheap. And it has all the basic things you need. The main problem is slow processor (use OmapClock overclocker for Skype!) and weak speaker.

Hi everyone
I've a little problem with my Qtek S200.
The other day,when i ran out of battry charge and my S200 turned off, after connecting to the power for recharge,the phone stpes for the phone lock that i had set before and asked for password and guess what !!!
it doesn't reply to my password.
I know the only way is to make a hard reset and return to factory defaults but i will lose all my data including my contact which are really important for me ...
Van anyone please help me.

I have this phone over a year now.
If u buy it because you need a pohone thingy - you are wrong.
This is PDA with phone feature.
Simplest nokia or even sagem has at least 3x more phone features than qtek.
I use it mainly because i need outlook on the fly, and just to make phone calls.
Camera is shitty if shaken and in the dark.
And some info for gps lovers - i use it with pretec gps BT module - works GREAT!!!
And for sw i use iGO 2007 - also perfect.
Nice bundle of pda and phone for not so bad price.
BTW - if u wanna use skype - be sure to download "SLOWER CPU VERSION" because qtek has 198MHz CPU.
I use a lot wireless access - it's nice to see some blogs or news while in bed ...
It is a must for computer geeks and techies but for someone who wants to send sms, use it just like a phone - no!

Ive read out most of comments and finally have to say some solutions and advices.
I like my s200 PDA after a week but i dont advise it.cause i love to challenge with phone..and thats it : S200 full of horrible problems.
----------------------------------
1.First you have to give up some shortcut-key
benefits to speed your accessibility to main functions.
i mean its better to specify
[Comm Hot-key] ---> [ Today ]
[Hold Comm Hot-key] ---> [ File-Manager]
Path to do: Start>Settings>Buttons
2.To resolve Ringing malfunction with .MP3
files,note you should place your mp3 files in My Documents or My Documnets\My Ringtones
and then be sure that those MP3 extentions MUST NOT! be specified with 3rd-party programs like (Mp3 Players or PocketMusic,..)
If its happened to your registry,you should install (My Extentions) program to return its default situation..or edit and Change registry manualy.
3.I prefered to remove big HTC-clock from screen,cause it decreases phone speed extremly.
4.Dont install untrusted programs that sits
in your boot and startup level.it could slow down boot or even interrupt it forever.
5. for (Hard-Reset) you have many ways to go.
A:Holding [Camera]+[Comm]+[Soft Reset] all together.
B:Holding [Camera]+[Comm]+[Power Button]
C:Holding [Camera]+[Comm]+Pluging USB Cable
6.for Speaker problem i guess im too young to experience with 1week old phone. ;-)
7.Camera is wholy god-damned reatard.too SLOW at dark! and i dont suppose that could be any solution around.
8.Language changing unless its featured original languages cause bad effects on regular woking of phone!!!
EXCEPT TECHNOLOGY!
I GUESS THERE IS MORE BETTER THINGS IN LIFE.
