But before u start to use,u need to download maps for the city u want, otherwise, u cannot see anything
for BlackBerry, I'm also a Q5 user. I found bb10 is a wonderful system, better than win 8 ,IOS and android. IOS is not convenient for files downloading, transfer, and processing. Android is just too open for viruses. Win8 is still not matured enough. Those experiences come from my own feeling. I have used iPhone 5 . Galaxy Iii, Lumia 820.925,625.

There's nothing there, not a single road or house. Isn't that disastrous? There's so many examples like that, sure it's great for downtown London but all other map providers are better when you go outside urban areas outside north America and Europe. Worst by far for Asia Pacific, only Australia and New Zealand and a few big Asian cities are somewhat accurate with Nokia. Do you want all of us to live in Western Europe? I prefer to stay where I am and Nokia is crap here, thank you.

Blackberry Z 10 and Z30 are really better phones..If it can lower the price of Q10 by 25% less,it will be hard to beat. Is BB hearing?
I use a Z30 for work, as it combines the best of all worlds for me. The productivity of a Windows phone, the best email access with the Hub, a media experience that is equal to most droids, and a battery life that demolishes an iPhone if used the same way.
In my company we have iPhone 4s and 5s, Samsung Galaxy IV and Note3, HTC One and Sony Z1. All are great in some ways.
The Z30, bar the app store (waiting for 10.2.1 OS update to be able to download android apps directly on the phone), has the best balance of all.
It is also the most secure, which for me being the boss is important.
As the other handsets come for renewal I can see a transition to BB if the company survives.
After reading the review and despite the odds it is getting clear now between the lines - the phone is nice indeed...

Qwerty keyboard was better than touch screen in black berry smartphones
The end of blackberry is here.Nothing can save them only fools that want to waste money on a phone with nomapps and poor operating software.

"which affects apps installed from non Google sources" do you understand what's it mean? it's mean most malicious apps comes from non-official source, like pirated apps.

Anonymous, 07 Nov 2013Nice review GSMarena. Whoever did bulk of the commentary and final edit, great job.Are you being sarcastic?
It is unfortunate the author of this review struggled to accept the phone is better than expected. Why bagging BB when it is a great device. I have a Z10 and it is great though better battery would be good. I will get the Z30 when it comes here, I still cannot find it here. Have seen it in Singapore and it looks great next to other top mobiles. Give it a go and stop bagging everything. GSM Arena is a great site but too much on just benchmarks, screens and chipset. Safety and personal security is also important. I hope BB will get new management and direction and survive.
I like BB. I think the new OS is awesome and only needs.. a chance. Give it and you'll love it. It is awesome and looks so much better than iOS ( rest the ecosystem). I think BB lost a big opportunity this year with Z10. It got well attention here, in India at least, because BB still holds some repute here. If priced right , it would have been historic ( even some news were there that Z10 had went out of stock in India in first week) but the price ruined everything. It was simply.. ridiculous. Many found themselves looted and the negative publicity that followed is still intact in many minds and it has only become harder now to convince general buyers go for BB.
Everyone is talking about benchmarks here. Why not give it a try? This phone utilizes a new antenna technology that allows for better service and call quality. I've had both Android and IOS phones. I am ready for the Z30. Who often are you really playing a serious game on your phone? If you are a gamer, you are going to play it on a tablet, a console, or a PC. Why think of your phone is a gaming device?? It's made for games like angry birds (a native app on BB). Why bash? Why not just give it a try and see what it's like?? Although the DPI may be lower, will you really notice a difference? I am going to give it a try, and with VZW if I don't like it after 14 days I will return it. But after ready reviews of people that already have it. It sounds like a great phone for anyone!
I got Z10 4 months ago pretty cheap (250 euros than), and that was my first BB phone so i didnt know what to expect.
I got premium looking phone with fantastic OS and ability to run android apps! And Z30 is even better!
How can you survive is your always behind from others? Dual core? 720p? Learning mistakes is just way too easy.... Just accept the truth.
Here the Z30 now is about Sing 700 plus so in USD it is ok price and should come down in a few weeks.
Don't know what all the fuss is as this a quite a good mobile and the operating system is great to use.
Battery life is amazing and the speakers are better than all but maybe HTC ONe.
When price come down I will get it. Some friends have it with no problems and like the swipe gestures.
Good mobile, strange review.
I feel and i follow this site regular and use it to read about mobiles, but ive got the impression that all this site dose is bag Blackberry, im new to blackberry and find there phones to be to notch, im currently have a Q10. Also have a Z10 and found it to be the best all touch phone ive used. Considering ive smashed two sony phones against walls because there were crap. #teamblackberry

Its very annoying to think of th... moreNokia Maps r bad ????!!!! u r not living on Mars . r u ?.......based on mobile sites including gsmarena and personal experiences including mine, Nokia maps r pretty far from being bad. they r actually as good as google maps if not better. many POI's in my region r either absent or placed incorrectly on Google Maps while they r placed pretty accurate on Nokia maps. also another evidence that nokia maps r that good is that most automotive (VW with its sub companies like audi, bentley, porsche.... ,Mercedes, BMW , Hyundai and kia and lots of others) companies deal with nokia maps not google maps and also other companies like Pioneer and garmin deal with nokia maps. maybe the only flaw of Nokia maps is the not-so-updated Sat images of some unurban remote areas. u can criticize Nokia maps for some things but saying that its all bad everywhere, then u r certainly trolling or u r basing ur experience on a Nokia N95 with a 7 year old maps !!!
