The battery on xperia s are poor,it only triumph in camera department. That said,it depend on what user want,i already had a good camera phone,i'll rather have the moto g has my backup phone and it will certainly have great update, compare to forgotten flagship of sony.
Nexus 4 over this phone anyday. At least you'll get an AC adaptor LOL
Good value, but I really don't like the Google-esque design. Last year's RAZR design was much much sleeker.
As an owner of this device I can confirm that this offering from Motorola represents outstanding value for money and is a superbly engineered device. Anyone who has been considering a more expensive device should certainly consider this one first.
Well for 15-20€ more you can buy Xperia S that has much better camera, double or four times more storage (depending on Moto G version), better software package (Sony Walkman and other media apps are much better than stock Google), sharper screen (same res, smaller in size), better build quality, better design, NFC, both Chrome and default Jelly Bean browser, dedicated microHDMI port, hardware shutter key and access to PlayStation store. Despite it being "stuck" at 4,1 JB, Xperia S is clearly more bang for buck.
The dialer is the worst I have ever seen. When a call comes in it crops the contact's photo so that all you can see is the top of their hair. Awful! I tried to change the dialing app to Exdialer but you can't set it as 'default'. I don't know why not, I have been able to on every other phone I have had.
The contacts app, bizarrely called 'people' is just as bad; it's a glaring white which hurts your eyes, and is very, very basic.
Great phone for the price but no expendable storage and the design is not nice to look at. We will see more and more good phones in this price range in the next year so motorola won't have an advantage for too long.
Even now in my market S4 mini is a better buy for me on a cheap contract. Yes the display has a smaller resolution but the phone looks nicer has a better camera and expendable storage.
The display and CPU technology has come so far that for the average user this "small" things will become more and more important. Afterall it's the experience that matters not the specs.
Moto G fame Wont last for long.. Samsung and Nokia are releasing Low end smartphones in Q1. Will be better and cheaper than the Moto G
This is the only phone I've seen that has the same price in Mexico than it does in the US.
"besides some extra stereo crosstalk", that is extremly important because high stereo crosstalk is the same as making stereo into mono and that is extremly bad for the sound quality!
Motorola as Struggled for a Bit in Europe an Google knew there name use to Popular with its Razor phones,so they did not want to Bring a High Profile phone out Straight away,so this phone might get the name of Motorola more Popular again with a Decent looking phone an not to Expensive, just wish they would have added the micro sd card slot on this phone an it would be very popular indeed,an we might get a update version in 2014,an some more High Class phones from Motorola to really compete in the Smartphone Market
