First place goes to SE k800. I own one and I am more than pleased with it: superb pictures, excellent battery life, all in all a digicam in diguise. I owned a Samsung and was not pleased with it, especially because of the battery. N73..yeah I held it in my hand and played with it. It's a good piece of work, but my wallet shakes at the price

Hey guys see it clearly
K800 is the best mobile when it comes to taking photos.it does not matter if it is taken at day or at night.it gives the real colours full details best flash in a mobile.only one drawback is the size and low sound.d900 comes second. it gives good details but bad result in low light.n73 is the worst mobile.most expensive.i cant see anything in this mobile except symbian os.otherwise this mobile is not able to be in this comparison.

Samsung phones - style and nice screen..sound is yet to improve (new i-pod like samsung phones)
Sony Ericsson - superb still-shots and music..java is now improving...nice themes(the only thing is that you'll get stuck with the old fashioned OS)
Nokia phones - geat in features but low performance...A smart slow phone so to speak..Yet improved sound and camera is promising in the future (talkin bout N82 which has xenon flash and Carl Zeiss)

btw, (cont.) k800i's flash is excellent in small rooms with no light variation (it means a dark room).. I've tested it on my house and you just need proper lighting and motion to capture the perfect shot. The effect of xenon flash especially for k800i in a dimmed room like reception halls will darken the background and just brightens the focus....You need to decide when to use or not use the flash

i've owned a k800i, my friend has N73 and my sister a Samsung...I've evaluated all the three when it comes to photography. Truly, N73 does a great performance in Video recording but Amongst the three, K800i's performance in taking still objects is superb....Btw, i'm not a fanboy....i'm just a techy young guy who wanted to compare....

Maybe I'm the lates person to give some comments here, but I'm agree with some couple of them who're in side of K800 position. I think nokia must much learn about Quality of picture's results, especialy in the low of light. Also such as importen thing is do not too much over colour in daylight , coz made it looks unaturaly, in other words unsimilry or unlike of the original pict that what it shot. Thats way N73 is lower rather than K800 about Photo result that they takes.

Actually, I will give K800 A+ because its cheaper then N73 but still manages to draw with it. Plus, I like its Smooth Font and Clear Screen. Sound is good, but some people claim N73 as better sound pumping device....

I bought a N73 and I am very happy with their performance.
Photography, music and batery are the best!
D900 phone is a very beautiful, but batery and photo, not give me everything that I need.
I think nokia is best for office documents as well.
People forget to talk about it!

I love my NOKIA N73!

I have a nok n73 and my friend has bought SE k800 recently.... so i had the chance to do a side by side compare. What i can say is N73 gives sharper picture(though the diff is not so large) which needs very acute observation. Some may say K800 gives more options(truely) but n73 gives more effective options.....To exemplify I can say.K800 does not give any option to change its exp setting manually which N73 gives....
SE has some advantages also..it has lower shutter lag than Nokia N73 and you certainly will prefer K800 's multi shoot mood than N73........N73' sequence mood is disgustingly slow....
But if you are ready to give little more time before shoot get your camera ready than N73 will come out with a better picture.
Leaving the Camera feature aside N73 is far ahead of K800.
So I think I was right to buy Nokia N 73 rather than SE K800.

i'm planning to buy a n73, i've been using SE k800i, and i hate it... i ended up selling it for less than a quarter of it's original price, the joystick start failing like 3 months or so since i buy it, how could that be possible? nahh no more SE for me, i won't let down Nokia again....

i'm a proametur when it comes to photography, and when it came time for a new phone it was 1 thing that mattered: photo quality. luckily, i had a sister with a k800 and a friend with an n73 so i had myself a little side-by-side comparo. i give props to the sony for having a better flash and scene modes (And it was smallerish), but the fact is that generally (Excluding non-flash night shots) the Nokia produced more PLEASING images. now my, what i consider, highly color-trained eyes know that the SE produced more true colors, it was at the expense of a less appealing image and usually a loss of detail. now the sony's pictures may be easier to do editing with, but when i take pictures with my cell phone, i send them to my friends or upload them (speaking of which the integrated flickr function on the n73 is pretty snazzy), i don't edit my photos, so i need them to look the best right out of the can, which is why i picked the n73.

BOTTOM LINE: K800 produces TRUER photos, N73 produces MORE PLEASING photos, and when its a camera phone we're talking about, its really the images that look the best that matter, not the most accurate ones.

FYI - i use primarily sony cameras with Zeiss lenses for point and shoots and nikons with either nikkor or zeiss lenses for DSLRs
