A very close call, a very close call indeed. I have to say, congrats Nokia for producing the number 1 cameraphone on the market. I honestly must say that I never thought Iīd see the day. :D
Seriously though, the differences between the N73 and K800 were clear, but not ground breaking. The N73 pictures are more colorful, maybe too colorful in some cases. They were also a lot more sharper.
On the other hand, the N73 had some problems in picturing proper trees, they looked kinda washed out.
The K800 took over-all good pics, it had itīs problems but also itīs strongpoints. The flash didnīt save the day though... Over-hyped if you ask me.
The D900 did a noble effort but didnīt match the other two.

because there is a basic set of standards when judging picture quality. any camera review usually involves these basic qualities, such as colour, detail level, noise level, etc.
the n73 looks striking AT FIRST GLANCE, thats about it. if you bother to look further, you can see the lost in detailsm which makes the n73 pics look unnatural because they are both sharp and blur at the same time.

" obviously, N73 specially on the first page and almost all the shots are better. try to compare the leaves and twigs and you'll see! N73 shots are sharp, detailed and the colors is vivid.
while the k800 and D900 are blurry and the colors are just dull just like the same quality of a low end digicam."
n73 pics are detailed? are you and i even looking at the same set of pictures? look at the background leaves on trees and bushes taken by the n73. most of them, if not all, are splotches of shapeless green. if i made a cutout of the leaves portion, you wouldn't have the faintest ideas those are leaves.

why are those people saying "what a good picture should look like" and set kilomilligraphic standards of sharpness and all those rocket-scientist terms?
what really is a good picture? of course, a good picture should look beautiful, and
well, it depends upon what anyone would consider beautiful. one may say the n73 pics are dull because the colors over reproduced, or say the k8 has it's color almost like being photocopied or worse, the samsung is using an old camera with film(???) but no, there's no really such thing as what a good picture should look like and denounce other people for having such a shallow taste!!! just go ahead with your preference, and see if others have the same taste as yours too.
well for me, i am more arrested by the colorful and sharp pics of N73, plus it has a very solid build quality, and it has a loudspeaker too.

First of all, EVERY1 should agree with that, N73 overprocessed the pics so it will look very clear, non-blurry, noiseless etc.
Where K800 fails to give the images a crisp look but took an overall idea of what's the situation was.
And in my opinion the real scale is like this
n73---------R----K800 where "R" stands for real lighting condition, moreover i guess the K800 used to take the pics has an earlier firmware, I've seen better pictures by K800. and what more..umm..I rather not talk 'bout D900 (lol)

so far it seems that the ones who says the n73 is better does not have analysis and comments of the pictures to back them up. thats the effect the n73 pictures have - use vibrant colors, sharpen smoothened and detail-lost pictures so that they have a good first 'wow' impression. but upon closer inspection, one can find the fundamental problems with the n73 pictures, which is lose of details and some colors just appear too unnatural and over-saturated, like blue and red colors.
details-wise, d900 seems to retain the most details, followed by k800i and n73 is at a distant 3rd.

I beg to disagree that samsung loses because the picture taken by d900's conventional/ordinary camera produces good result.
if only N73 and k800 is to be compared to samsung z710 then we can state the real score.
GSM ARENA you are so unfair, this site is the most bias all over the world.

the matter of fact is that samsung totally loses.. it is no match with the se k800 and n73... the thing is that although se k800 comes with the famous cybershot label on it, it's just a normal cam.. not bad for a phone but it's nothing compared to the original cybershot cam.. in the pics, some of the se k800 taken ones are better.. but overall,.. i have to say that nokia wins this time..

oh really, the blue car pic by n73 is better than the k800i or the d900? look at the front tyre of the 3 pics. the threads on the tyre are almost completely smoothened out in the n73 pic, the k800i is a bit smoothened out and the d900 shows the threads clearly. in the same pic, look at the brick wall with the fence in the background. the n73 pic reduces the darker parts of the wall to a smooth surface. the n73 *appears* to look better because the overall shape of the picture is sharpened, but finer details are smoothened out.

calm down man...wether you like nokia or SE...If you like nokia dont just see the pros of that nokia and cons of SE. Similarly, if you like SE dont just see pros of your SE, see pros of Nokia also. Either nokia or SE wins, their company gets the benefits. Both phone N73 and SE K800i are good, it is just a matter of taste. If your are used to Nokia buy N73, and if you think SE suites you well, just go for K800i...as simple as that.I dont see any big differences between them. under certain conditions, Nokia's shots is better, but under some other conditions SE is better. Both performs well. and remember...it is a matter of taste. Dont expect people to like what u like and to dislike what you do dislike.
