May as well term this Note 3 Mk II.
There is Note 2 and the Note series are meant to be semi tablet so having a name like Note 3 Mini or Lite is contrary to the lineup.
Teeya, 06 Feb 2014Dear gsm arena, could u please tell me whether this neo used a gorilla glass display or not? q... moreGorilla or not, if a monkey uses it and carelessly drops it on bitumen, the screen is bound to shatter or have cracks and chips.
There is no guarantee that a Gorilla glass won't break. Many S4 and iphones with Gorilla glass 2 and 3 were cracked when dropped from a height of 1.5m.
Note 3 slim body light wieght full hd display back covor lether finishings covor
Really, Samsung should look into their lineup at the low end because they are abysmal for the price instead of yet another pointless SKU in the high end.
Dear gsm arena, could u please tell me whether this neo used a gorilla glass display or not? quite important thesedays for a wide screen smartphone.
This is a great review. Price price price is so true. Especially for the dual Sim version which gets stuck with only the sucky cortex A7 CPU! Samsung always seems to manage to sell dumb specs under premium name. I'd say if your not seeking s-pen feature and amoled screen then stay away.
samsung stop it
you got more galaxies than the galaxies in the universe
if i compare the grand 2 and this
note 2 was good enough
Will samsung leave out Note 2 user and ask to buy either one of the Note 3 models. As i can see, if Note 2 is updated with these feature then it will hit the sales of Note 3 Neo. Will samsung update the Note 2 or leave it out. :(
Can't see the point of this phone if it is nearly the same price as Note 3....They should replace Note 2 with this one and call it Note 3 Lite, at same price of Note 2...
It's does not have gorilla glasses, this feature is not available in note 2 as well so better option is grand 2 now otherwise go for note 3..... But yes its a big investment but better then best. Gorilla glasses is very important feature for this kind of big screen phone and over after spending this much of money Samsung should give gorilla glasses on note 2 and note 3 neo as well.
there is something that i don't understand here. how could N3 Neo surpass N3 when it is the LITE version of N3 in Antutu benchmark? and for GPU benchmark, they put Samsung S4 twice on the ranking. huh?
plus, i don't see how this device would do well in the market. the price is quite similar to Note3 and of course people would go for Note3.
Akazh, 02 Feb 2014Here, pricing is really a big thing. If its pretty high, it will be a better option in Note 3.... moreIt's quite simple. Note 2 can be at 27,000 Note 3 Neo can be at 36,000 and Note 3 can be at 45,000.
It will cannibalize Galaxy S4 though.
Here, pricing is really a big thing. If its pretty high, it will be a better option in Note 3. If the pricing is too low, it could affect the sale of Note 2. Samsung will have to be very precise with the price tag(especially in the Indian market)!!
Mr Grumpy, 01 Feb 2014No FM radio, thanks Shamsung, another tired and pointless Galaxy to add to your collection of ... moreYep, I am disappointed that the new Samsung phones don't have FM. However i rarely used it so it wasn't a deal breaker in getting the Note 3.

1) The neo is basically a refresh of the GN2.... its not meant to be top of the range specs. The price will settle out a fair bit less than the GN3 which is good for people looking for a good cheaper phablet.
2) As a GN3 owner and having tried the 1520 and one max i would have to say 5.5-5.7 inches is a pretty sweet spot for a phablet as it's still really comfortable in a pocket.
3) The Note 3 has great battery life (75 hours). The neo battery is only 100mAH smaller, the resolution is 720 and the screen slightly smaller. I think the battery life will beat the note 3. (plus it has replaceable batteries which cost about $20)
