Sony Ericsson Z610 review: Glossy magic
The mirror-like clamshell Z610 has a magic top half and an invisible external display; it supports 3G, has a 2 megapixel camera, and has one of the most luxurious keypads ever seen on the mobile market. Memory card slot is available, of course. In other words, Sony Ericsson’s portfolio has been enriched with another top-quality model.

Had the Z610i for 2 months now - no scratches, but it is a fingerprint Magnet and I find myself constantly cleaning it - though it does look great when its all shiny and clean.
Photo quality is average at best and I've had serious compatibility issues with an iTech R35 Stereo Bluetooth headset. Perhaps best to consider a more expensive Sony Ericsson headset.
Unlike some users I've had no problems at all reading the OLED display even in bright sunlight!?
Overall I really love the phone and would recommnend it to anyone willing to put up with the shortcomings above.

wow! so beautiful & attractive! the glossy or mirror-like front surface is really tight! but, is it "SCRATCH-PROOF???" that's my weakness! i'm prone to accidents! my SE S700i i have right now was a home for scratches or damages. i really wanna get this 1 bcoz it's thin, small, clamshell & the invisible OLED thing! but i can't let go off of my SE S700i. i love it so much.
the question is... Is It Scratch-Resistant?!

Simply awestruck by the SE Z610i, so much so that when it hit local market, I traded my v3 black for a Z610i black. Simply love the slick design and fantastic curves... Am holding a K600i concurrently, so functions-wise, all the same.

I own both the k610i and z610i. And yes, they are identical in terms of functionality except one being a flip, the other a candy bar phone. I like the looks of z610i, but I much prefer the k610i since it feels much durable. The z610i does appear to be fragile, and I'm constantly checking the phone for finger prints (its a finger print magnet) and scratches. Where as the k610i I would careless.

i own the phone for about a week now. no scratches so far, knock on wood (knock knock)
someone mention about whether the outer oled screen is visible in direct sunlight, the answer is NO...not only the oled is not visible in direct sunlight, its not visible even in fluorescent lights in your local department store or supermarket.
but i have to admit the oled looks awesome in low light situations.
