LG KG920 vs. SE K800 vs. Nokia N73: One more photo shootout - read the full textRecently we've got LG K920 for testing; this is one of the first 5MP camera GSM phones available on the market. We've decided that it's a good idea to test it against one of the best currently available 3MP camera phones, and also great rivals - Sony Ericsson K800 and Nokia N73.

1. LG
2. Nokia
3. Sony ericsson

the nokia's better than the sony ericsson..big 2.4" screen, smartphone, sterio speaker and a pretty good video recorder with a good 3.2 mp camera. compared to the sony which has 2" screen only, non smartphone (meaning less games, apps, themes ect. to install),no sterio speakers, bad video recording (as bad as my 6230i)..so..sony should go die..with its failing ps3,exploding batteries and faulty camera's...

Gold SONYERICSSON
Silver LG
Bronze Nokia
'WHY??????
Sonyericsson gives the most accurate color renditions (mind you i'm ignoring the added resolution of LG's 5Mp)
Hands down night mode, great autofocus (close ups) , hated the blurry park Pics

LG. Could have won GOLD easy but I had to ignore some of the advantages of the added resolution. hated the inaccurate colors at times, like in the mall, the consistent seemingly dark light in pictures and the complete dardness pictures was a joke

Nokia, Seemed the sharpest of the 3, but remember its over saturating pictures, so if yellows goes yellower, black goes blacker I guess the pictures will naturally seem sharper, Basically nokia shows us something that wasn't there, looks grea yes, but its fake. factor in the consisted purple and somewhat bad night light

@Rus

Do you realise that pictures taken by Nokia are Simply oversaturated? Sure its Look "better" but whats more important is the reality. The fact That the pictures made by nokia are just too off from reality. Its like Saying Fight Night Round 3 on Xbox 360 Looks better than Boxing on ESPN, sure it does but you just can't say that fake > reality.

GSMARENA being picky to Nokia for some reason. I mean, it's obvious N73 makes better pics, why make up rediculous excuses for Sony Ericsson?

In the end its all about being satisfied with your phone and having tested for a while both phones... i stick to the N73 just because i like the pics more... Real color or not... who cares??? i just like the pics better

nowadays I heard the new comers from Thailand (I-Mobile 902) which has 5 MP CCD made by Sony with Xenon Flash and can be interpolated to 8 MP. Seems that it has been reviewed by mobile-review.com (http://www.mobile-review.com/r...2-en.shtml). Perhaps it would be fair to compare with LG KG920 as it's much cheaper for the price than LG's one. You can check the site then.... cheers

Well the verdict is there. The K800 takes better photos which accurately represent the scene.

The N73 is 'cheating' to achieve its more 'crowd-pleasing' results.

And the KG920 is really not much apart from the 5MP sensor.

LG KG920 has CCD sensor, so it works far better than the CMOS installed in the two other phones. CCD takes better light sensitivity than CMOS. the 5mp resolution does it's job against the 3mp ones.

my opinion.
LG has the best image if only while manual settings are installed, it will work as a true digital camera if that's the case. K800 has better details than N73 though you may see it not as sharp as the ones in N73, but just as the reviewer said, this comes at a price. fine details are lost and not good for image editing. newmobile.com review before has proven that K800's flash works far better than the LG. if SE wants to compete with LG's 5mp camera KG920 in image quality, they should implement CCD sensors in their cybershot-K800 successor and add more settings for further control. Nokia has to learn not to enhance the automatic color setting so and not to overadjust the saturation and do good in implementing carl-zeiss specs in their lens. if they really want to bring good imaging to it's customers and not to make them Wow=D.
