Micro sd card slot is always a welcome but not at the cost of performance and android does not support data saving to the sd card without root so a fast 64gb inbuilt mem is better and enough for me ... 3)... I use my wifi/ broadband connection for games movies videos and stuff my plan is like 2500 rs a month for 16mbps speed unlimited ...LTE plans in my country is still way expensive one can get away with a good 3g plan for cheap in here.

I just meant that this device looks ugly to me, but again, that's not the point here.
*disparages people for their personal cell phone and internet use* *does it while commenting on a cell phone site, via the internet* I do hope you see the hypocrisy I mean irony, of course. I'm on a corporate plan, so no, I'm not wasting money. By thanks for the assessment all the same! And by the way, I lived without a cellphone and Internet for just as long. Big deal.

Got the 64gb regular S6, great phone, but would definitely go for 64gb Active, prefer the bigger memory. Fingerprint sensor on S6 is great, would love to see this on S6 Active. Hope the S6 Active will come to the UK, would be my next phone. Have always gone for Xperia Z phones in the past.

if there was choice in s6 to set screen to HD/FHD, it would last on battery even longer. Also that white on amoled :( ...
I would also add monochrome in normal mode (not limited to few apps).
What else is good amoled for - colors on xperia looks better (even if not true in spec on paper) - better brightness,...
Can that blue configurable button be set as a PTT (push to talk) button?

TheNeighbor, 25 Jun 2015So you hate having mobile internet? How hypocritical of you.I hate that people are so connected online but disconected in real world can you help md add this series, 1+1/2+1/3+1/4+..., this is real world, not facebook or any form of social media, telcos are the ones making profit of your being unhypocritical, you are wasting money for this 5GB plan, i live for 30 yrs without a phone or internet.

I certainly see what you're saying, but I back up photos to google photos, I use Google play all access for music, SMS+/Gmail backup. Beyond that, I personally don't have any other important data on my phone, so for *my* particular usage, it's not really an issue (having a 5gb data/month + wifi at home and at work). I could live with it.

In the event that you will send your S6 active for repair and you have no time to backup your data, then you will know that having a microSD still the wise decision.
This is definitely the phone that could bring me back to Samsung. All the bells and whistles of the S6 with some pretty outstanding battery life. Sure, it's not the most svelte or stylish, but generally I've found that using a case renders extra bulk and turns mosts smartphones into a screen (i.e., the exterior becomes more or less irrelevant). Having had an Xperia Z3, this is the next logical step for me. More storage would be nice, but nothing's perfect. I can live with 32gb.

I can also charge the spent battery with the cradle desk charger connected to a power bank in the bag while my device stays totally wireless. Why do I do this? Well, my Galaxy Note on my unlimited LTE data service is my main source for my downloads. Just over the last three weeks, I got to used over 100GB for reinstalling my Steam games and the usual 20GB of media I can consume. I use internet radio, Bluetooth is always connected to my Bluetooth earset.
Honestly, why didn't they put this battery in the S6 and S6 Edge? I would rather prefer 1.8 mm more thickness on a phone than a slim, fragile one with a weak battery. And to be honest, 8.6 mm is not too thick. I am using a Z3 compact and it's quite thin. The LG G4 for example is 9.8mm thick so the S6/Edge with 8.6mm would not have been that bad.
