I've got this phone and I'm in love with it! I don't know why people are complaining about the scroller. I haven't had any problems with it. The only little thing I can complain about it is that the battery lasts less then 2 days without much usage and NOT on the power saving mode. I heard the power saving mode gives it another day but i don't mind charging it everyday.

I bought the Shine Friday and returned it Monday. Yes, it is visually appealing, but the scroll bar is horrendous and the "intuition" of the buttons/menus leaves alot to be desired. The most disappointing aspect of this phone, however, is the resolution in direct sunlight. I'm not sure where the reviewer tested this or how he/she defines "tolerable", but i have 20/15 vision and i couldn't see one bit of the screen once i stepped outside. For $450, I expected alot more and I expected someone at LG would have tested this phone before the first shipment went out.

I just imported this phone from UK yesterday as still it is not launched in India. I must say this phone is really cool. I was skeptical about the signal strenght and battery backup of this phone. But I must say everything work really great, its interface and user friendlyness is more or less similar to Nokia. It fun using this phone.

I'm still contemplating on getting this phone. I've had some bad experiences with high tech phones. Most of the time the biggest issue is signal.
Anyone who has used this phone could you be kind enough to tell me whether this phone's signal is strong? I do a lot of business and therefore need a phone with good signal, something I find hard to find these days even with all the technology. The more tech it has, the worse the signal.
If you have used this phone please email me at lammai06@hotmail.com on any information on the signal/connection of this phone.
Thanks

I ordered this one today and expect to get it in a week or so. I'm excited and at the same time a little worried. The scroll-wheel worries me a tad. I hope I'm not in need to....
All in all, I'm as excited as a child is on christmas.... =)

im kinda dissappointed in this phone. as you all know the LG chocolate touch screen was perfect. they took this all away with the LG shine. i believe that i should be put back on this type of phone. also...with both the chocolate and 970 shine...the sound is very very low. it should have the little amps like the motorola has. the scroller sucks sometimes cause when u go to press an option you may scroll up and go to something else. the buttons i believe should be more glossy than soo plain.....cause the phone is shiny soo why the buttons shouldnt be.all and all this phone needs alittle improvement. very nice, very unique but just needs some tweeks

I've had this phone a little while now. And like one of the people below said. I don't have the same phone mentioned in the review.
There is nothing to do with 'Bluetooth messaging' to be seen on my phone, and if anyone has found where it is, i'd be very thankful.
My phone does play in teh background, if i press the mp3 button. But any file other than a mp3 file that i put onto my phone won't go into the mp3 playlist. Which is slightly irritating. I haven't found any way of making myself a new playlist.
And the screne is rather hard to see through in daylight, especially because i ave power saving mode on.
Bu if you just cast a shadow with your hand, you can see well enough.
I can get my battery to last roughly 3 days with a little camera and mp3 usage. Providing the power save mode is on.
The scroll wheel is a little slow. But nothing that is real bad.
I love this phone and i feel the camera is very good, remembering it is a mobile phone afterall.
Gsmarena got a few things wrong with this review. But not many.
Highly reccomend getting this phone!!

i prefer the samsung d840 above this one. But LG has made a step into the good direction
There is only one problem and that is the sensitivity of the scroll wheel, this one sometime get loose within a week of use.
