Nokia N95 review: Nokia’s crown jewel
This is the our detailed test of Nokia N95, the best equipped phone on today’s mobile market. Nokia N95 is among first mobiles to have a built-in camera with a 5 megapixel resolution. Among its lures are also an integrated GPS module, HSDPA support, two-way sliding construction, and a very handy 3.5 mm jack connector for earphones.

and and there is a bar which stated that exceeding certain level of zooming, it will go blur. but not exceeding that bar, you can get a 5mp quailty imagine when your transfer it to PC..

AIKON : you cant expect a phone zoom without a optical zoom to be that clear on full zoom, you should compare it to other device for example Sony cybershot, n95 is still better off for the zoom.
And for your info n95 is digital zoom not optical.
if you want a nice and clear zooming phone, get N93 with 3x optical zoom. you get it eh ?

I'd been waiting for the N95 to come out in Australia since late 2006. The main feature I was after was the 5MP camera. I checked it out at a local store yesterday and was quite disappointed. While there is 5MP of data, the lens lets it down, especially at full zoom. For anybody who was sold on the 5MP feature make sure you check out the photo quality on a PC monitor before you make a call. So far as I'm concerned, it's a thumbs down.

the n95 is ok but think its to pact with gizmo and gadgets to make nokia care if it works or not. the gps dont work very well the phone does freeze or just go blank and u dont have a control and delete button this phone as u do on computers. it was a big upcoming phone but now it is here its just getting dissed i have had many back that i sold as it freezes or just dies and dont turn on but it was worth a shot to relese something with gps 5 mp and everything else it has but i say 1 step at a time and i stick to my sony's for now...

It seems we have a lot of experts here, or maybe just kids who do not know better. But for those that have some savy here is a question? I need a good phone, in my opinion a phone woith good extras would need the following: Able to synchonise with outlook tasks and apointments, have a reasonable camera, have a built in GPS (Realy Handy for the man on the move), a reasonable voice recorder for meetings and most importantly be able to use as a phone.
Any sensible person out there with ideas?
Thanks

i own n70, n73, n80 and n91 before. they hang sometimes or lag.
but the new n95. is much faster. wont have the laggy thing as like those in Nseries. only thing is, the video! red LED, for?

In regards to Lisa, congratulations, yes the N-series has had a lot of problems but the N-95 is nokia's flag ship phone, its their creme de la creme, and if they had ballsed it up, it would repel a quarter of their sales base due to their rep crashing into the ground like a tonne of bricks.
Im impressed that you put aside all the rumours and faults and took it anyway, its exactly what i had to do, i work in carphone, and i hated the N-series for all the complaints they made me deal with, but when the N-95 came out i realised that nokia wont have ruined it due to so much riding on it.
So far I have no complaints, the video quality is top rate, the screen resolution is beautiful, and so far the symbian software hasnt crashed/frozen/slow mo'd once. the gps isnt as good as a tomtom but then its a phone, what do u want?? its gr8 for general driving and hiking tho.
Iv always been a sony ericsson man, iv owned everything from the k500i to the w950i and all inbetween, but i think the n-series has taken the podium from now on, nokia have produced the most functional handset on the market, now thats a come back.
