LG KE850 Prada review: Sophistication made simple

LG KE850 Prada review: Sophistication made simple - read the full textThe Prada phone by LG is among those handhelds that rely solely on touch-based as opposed to stylus-based interface interaction. The famous Apple iPhone surely started the craze over such devices, but the LG KE850, elsewhere known as the Prada phone, is nothing like iPhone. A highly stylish and versatile multimedia device, the Prada branded mobile is a true joy to the eye and represents the true meaning of a fusion between a full-featured mobile phone and a fashion icon.

I Just This Phone, and it's different to anything i've used before, i.e Nokia 8800 / 9300, Sony Ericsson W810i (Prolly Best Phone i've Owned, feature and user friendly wise).
Can anyone tell me if it's possible to change the msg ringtone to one that i've downloaded onto the phone?
Also the Phonebook is pretty...well Very annoying, it seems to have put the names from Surname first ... i.e instead of
Ian (Pc Tech) it's been stored in the phonebook as (Pc Tech) Ian,
which means until i've manually adjusted the Names, I have to try and figure out how they are listed (Annoying when you've duplicated them by hitting the wrong key)

Have had the phone a few months, it sucks! Battery life is hideous. More often than not it doesn't recognise your finger tap. The silver paint on the middle band, has badly peeled off! I hate the phone! The only good thing about it is the fish background, but THAT IS NOT ENOUGH!! The case supplied, scratches the screen way too easily. STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS ONE it has more "issues" than Big Brothers Nicky... You have been warned people!

I received my phone a couple of days ago and I fell in love with it since I opened the box. The phone is smaller than the iPhone and much more sleek looking. I like the 2mp flash digital camera, the fm radio, and of course ppl asking where i got it. I walked into an apple store just yesterday and showed off my prada and customers and workers asked me questions instead of testing out the iphones laying around. I'm in love with this phone.

Got myself a LG-KE850 a.k.a PRADA yesterday.
He is realy beautyfull, thow there are a few "bugs" that d'ont allow him to be user friendly, such as:
*You dont get access to the menu of the phone while having a incoming or outgoing call. Forget the idea of providing a number from your contact list to the friend on the phone.
*The contact list got two small scroll "buttons" that stand above the contact himself. Very often one select the wrong contact from the list.
* (not yet sure about this one) Sinchronised the phone with the PC, all seems to have worked fine. Now, i dont have name ID from any of my calls, just the number.

I just brought the Prada phone for use in the US on T-Mobile and I love it. The folks at T-Mobile transfered all the needed info directly to my phone for internet access and I was off and running.

All you have to do is set the phone down during a business meeting and you control the room -- my CEO is begging me to help him get one. I brought my Prada phone to an Apple store and it caused havoc, even the reps were digging it. I left the folks with one line -- iPhone tricks are for kids, the Prada phone is for adults.

But, I need a little Prada phone people, I added the 2G external memory but how do you access it for your music and videos use? Please help nycelife@netzero.com

Great phone besides the battery life sucks. Looking to get a second battery for back up. Any suggestions? Also wondering if anyone else have this problem...there's a beeping noise aproximately every 20-30 seconds while you're talking on the phone. It's very annoying, not sure what causes it.

I think Lg Prada is a very noteworthy competitor to Apple iPhone. It's stylish, the OS looks pretty neat etc. But still, the iPhone attracts me more. Maybe its because of the multi-touch (vs. normal touch screen) and all the high-tech sensors that it has (http://www.apple.com/iphone/technology/).
One thing for sure, this is going to be a very tough decision!
