Samsung U700, a.k.a Samsung Ultra 12.1, is one of the four slim models in the Ultra Edition II Series. The number indication 12.1 refers to the body thickness in millimeters. The U700 model is the slimmest slider ever to support high-speed data transfers over HSDPA.

Personalise of sms tone with mp3

You can try this. Go to Phone Profiles. Select the phone profile that u want to change . At the Options select 1. Change . Then select use my alert tone. Then u can select whichever tone from ur phone or card memory.

U700 only recognise mp3 format nt wma for the ringtones n sms.

Does anybody know how can I change the SMS melody in Samsung U 700? I do not need MP3 melodies, I just want to use the melodies contained in the phone. Please, help!

Hey.. I got the phone, Finally.. It's better looking then i thougt :D..

I have 1 problem, Why cant i see the emoticon as a figure when i get or type an SMS.. I am only able to se it as a text, like this :-) or :) ... How can i make it a figure ?...
Please help me

I've used the D900 before, but swapped it back for my SE phone and the only reason I did this was because of the Samsung user interface/menu system, it's so bland and boring and definitely not as intuitative as the SE's. If Samsung can sort this out they'd be onto a winner

hello, this is my first time ever to use a samsung phone. & i am glad to say i'm a very hapy convert. this phone rocks. it's beautiful and very user friendly. i only have one problem, does anyone know how to change the right selection key to another application? mine is set on the web browser & i keep on accidentally pressing it, any info will be highly appreciated

i'm just thinking to buy either samsung u600 or u700.. but i dunno which one is better.. but are the both phone worth to buy?? coz i hav see d comment on this 2 phone.. sum r quite negative... n sum r positive... tats y i dunno which is d exact 1.. so.. i just wan 2 hav some suggestion from u all... whether i should buy either one of them or no..

PLEASE HELP does any one know how to remove a number from the add recipitent list option when sending a text i appear to have the same three numbers appearing every time i try to send a text and am desperate to delete the number 1 mobile number that appears every time i go to send a text.

u700 looks like an osam phone as the colour is totally unique.As in singapore it is tooo expansive and i cant afford to buy it.i am totally dissapointed.It is $400 presently and i want it to be around $370 at least.please COME ON SAMSUNG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi,
Does any one know how to type the character '_' (underscore) while using the built in Netfront browser to access websites? I am not able to access my mail on U700 as my mail Id has '_' in it :(

Does anyone know how to save files down onto the memory card ie when receiving files from Bluetooth? I can't seem to figure out where this option would be located.

I've had the fone for a few weeks now..and my only real issue with it is, the ringing volume is, well terrible and likewise when in the mediaplayer, any suggestions? and the cheap looking menus and little icons..they marketed is as a stlyish fone and it looks the part but certain display items are really terrible

Samsung should really update those GUI's. The phone looks fantastic but those GUI's are totally ugly. What's the point in the resolution and colour when you have simple cheap menus ?

To vibrate while in normal mode, just change the alert type in Phone profile, from Melody only to Vibrate and Melody.

Ferrum you are an absolute legend!!!! thanks very much. I ended up trading in the phone for a brand new U700 cos it was the first time they had heard of that problem and decided to replace it for me.

U700 is a great phone!
its the latest phone in singapore NOW!
the only disadvantage is tht the touch-keypad
sucks althou its kinda high tech buut still i wud
accidentely press it ! WELL,overall i lyk the design
of the phone cos its btr den U600.U700 its lyk all in one!
mayb the features of the phone in sing is different
with other country!but as far as i noe,SAMSUNG DESIGN ROCKS:)
