Dual SIM review: Mobiles go two-in-one - read the full textUsing two SIM cards in one phone is increasingly becoming an option that people are willing to consider. Using both a personal and a business number with one single handset, saving some money by combining two different plans or network carriers...

For dual sim card phones, mostly produced by china factory, it can use two cards standby at the same time, most of those phones, are with bluetooth function. I just found one site for u, www.totobay.com, you can check it, and maybe u can find what you need.

a company called MyPhone recently introduced the MyPhone T22 a dual sim phone from China with full service support. MyPhone is owned by the same company that distributes Sony Electronic appliances here in the Philippines so the phones must be good. Selling price is about $200. My friend also bought a dual sim phone made by Haier in HongKong for about the same price and has had no problems with the unit. Both sims are active at the same time.

I know that the dutch guys from http://www.dual-sim.nl offer really cheap Dual-Sim Adapters, too. No need of rebooting and battery-time is remained. Fits in all cellphones they say. Downside of it is that the website is in Dutch ;-)

If you need help reading the website just send me an e-mail.

"I want to introduce you guys with a new model P-Plus 88.
This phone got Dual card, Dual standby, Dual Bluetooth v1.2 A2DP(both lines) and micro SD card Slot. Support 3GP, MP4 playback.

If interested, please e-mail me."

But its navigation key is awful...that's why I traded it with a TCL A288.

I got big problems with the Simore SIM Adapter for 2 SIM Cards. With new mobile phones this adapter don't work and the menue get loose or you cannot put the SIM card in the slot (because the adapter is a little thicker than a original SIM card). Simore didn't realy help with comments.

wow. I welcom the concept and cant wait for the releas of the dual sim handset. I will pay any prize for this. It will save lot off space and easy the consequences of answering two handset at the same time. But I hope it wont bring the over flowing sophistication that will affect the warranty of the product.

These are very interesting. I have a few comments, however:

I couldnt find any model supporting anything other than 900 and 1800 MHz. Tri- or Quad band would be perfect for use globally. Also better communication is a must; EDGE at the very minimum.

Of particular importance are the SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) values for these phones. I wonder, do the Chinese use similar values and guidelines to some western countries (2.0 in the US for example)?

the only answer i can think of is their fear of reduction in sales of phones. you will have two numbers in one phone as against 2 phones for 2 numbers.

I bought a dual sim card phone last month in China and I am extremely happy and satisfied. it has bluetooth, GPRS, touchscreen, 2MP camera, audio, video, mp3 player (dual speakers)micro sd (transflash) memory card. Everything is working perfectly and i'll find it hard to go back to a single sim card phone. What i miss in this phone is T9 predictive text input software, a notepad and an appointments diary. all the usual stuff , calculator, calender, to-do lists, currency converter, games, web browser etc are there. All this at a retail price of US$125.00 only.
I am sure the models with improve further in the near future. i even saw some models running on windows mobile software. The battery life is very good and the phone weighs only 110g despite having a 2.6inch screen.
i really wonder why none of the big brands of mobile phones make dual card phones. are they afraid of drop in sales numbers since it will enable us to buy one phone instead of two?

I am using Trend 786 (Dual Simm Mobile Phone) in pakistan, I am having this set for the last 2 weeks. I have not faced any problem yet. The only thing which lacks in this set is the Bluetooth. The battery time is good, i.e 2 days with 1 hour of talk time. The display is excellent, I can receive calls on both numbers at the same time and not even a single problem found in this set yet. Any one wants any details about this set can contact me at 00923219444151 and I will share my experience with him/her. Details on the previous model t 500 are available at www.trendmobiles.co.uk

oh, and both has 2 GSM modules. that means that both of the cards are active simultaneously...

you can even e.g. receive a call from sim 2, while your on a call with someone on sim 1...messages too, u have the choice to send with sim 1 or sim 2..

i had a Destel V690 (http://www.cicmedia.net/web-pr...8&mpid=1966) and it worked like a charm..but the screen was too small for me to watch my scrubs series...

now i own an ICool D66...great 3" touchscreen...almost like pda, but still with its typical chinese brands boundaries..
