In a YouTube video of the Xperia XA1, I heard that it will have a 100% SRGB screen or something and that it should have awesome quality. Now is this true or not?
FromChinaWithLove, 27 Feb 2017Sony took out one of the charging option ever since the Z5 forward to the X and XZ series. But... moreYou are trolling about the wireless charging, but a wireless charging is a gimmick, you can't use wireless charging with power bank and you only can connect to a socket with wireless charging support, it is expensive and the charging quality is not optimizing.
XZ series have Qnovo charging tech, it is better than useless wireless charging.
Has anyone tested the camera for this phone if so how good is the quality from personal experience.
Another One, 20 Mar 2017Samsung s6 edge dxomark score is 86 not 88http://prnt.sc/em877u see that or go to second page of dxo review for Z5 and read it yourself. I did copy-paste entire paragraph from there . now stop bothering me with nonsense .
btw I give zero F#cks about those scores right now ... I'm more than satisfied with camera of my Z5 ..the thing that is shit is battery life since MM update and nougat didn't improve it much .

JohnyJR, 09 Mar 2017Thank you for this amazing info, I'll make sure to get this phone when either it launches or t... moreI would recommened just buy regular XZ if you are a sony fan. It is better bang for buck. You can get it under 500$ when XZP out. It is not worth to pay extra 350$ for some marginally better specs. Don't listen to fanboy. It is a pain to use the same phone for 4 years let alone 7 years lmfao. Who use the same phone for 7 years? Very funny. Battery lasts only 2+ years. It's battery is sealed so you have to pay extra for replacing battery(it would cost you 100$) Don't tell me stupid qnovo tech can last battery longer. It is just a marketing gimmick. Battery is battery after all. It fails with repeated charging and discharging.

Even if the price is $800 on release date, if you split that cost up over 3 years, you're only paying $270 a year for this phone and over 4 years, $200 a year.

JohnyJR, 01 Mar 2017I'm willing to give Sony a chance, do you guys think I should buy the Sony Xperia xz Premium o... moreI would highly recommend buying it, its the first great Xperia phone Sony has made in a long time. I personally got to try it at MWC and being the owner of an XZ (2016 version), it feels a lot faster, smoother, and more refined. The big benefit of this phone is it pairs the Snapdragon 835 with UFS 2.1 memory and the back acts as a heat spreader so thermals are beyond excellent, normally most phones like my XZ from 2016 including the LG G6 can get very warm and throttle a little bit after 15-30 mins of use but the XZ Premium from my testing didn't seem to have any performance dips after leaving the phone on with 30 minutes of 4K recording. The major speed benefit for starting apps is the UFS 2.1 from eMMC 5.1 which almost quadruples the read and write speed from the 2016 XZ and the CPU is almost 30-40% faster than the Snapdragon 820 in the 2016 XZ thanks to increased core count but unchanged clock speed for similar IPC. On my 2016 XZ, if I play games for 15 minutes, my phone gets fairly warm and I get a small performance dip, if I play for 1 hour, it begins to get hot. That's not gonna happen on the XZ Premium because there isn't thermal runaway because heat buildup is much slower, you'll be able to play games or watch a video for 3 hours without having to worry about heat. Another big benefit of this phone is that the pixel size on the sensor is almost 30% larger so the low-light performance will be excellent, the problem that used to affect older Xperias with bad low-light performance was due to smaller pixels that didn't have stacked CMOS technology but this time Sony's solved the problem. I got to test some low-light photos on the XZ Premium and from what I've found is its quite considerably sharper and even though the software is in its very early stages, Sony will be finalizing the software once the phone is released and I am expecting a huge improvement to their new camera app, especially in both UI and image processing.
